![]() I liked the run of Solid Billing last week.
Went out to a 5 length lead early from barrier 16 and did well to only get beaten 4 lengths. Will be rock hard fit and has drawn barrier 4 which should give Wilkinson many options to get a cosy run. If he can sit off the speed and stay the trip, looks a reasonable each way prop. Tinseltown has failed twice at the distance so is a real query as favourite. Sand Hawk and Court Ruler appear to be out of form and I'm not convinced of the staying credentials of many others. Can the old boy Lang get the chocolates?? This and more shall be revealed in another exciting episode of.........Saturday's Punting...... Best of luck to all. The Schmile P.S. Go Starpangledbanner (it would be better if he was called beneathourradiantsoutherncross, but we'll take the victory!!!!) |

![]() I worry about Tinseltown aswell , I'm not sure Stathi is the ideal rider for him , i'd like to see Munce on him , i dont like the way Tinseltown shys at the whip and he seems to resent hard riding , they'll again ride him quiet and with heavy hands Stathi on board i'm not sure the horse will run straight when stathi pushes the button. I havent seen the horse run in NZ but i'd like to see him rolling forward before the turn with the focus on keeping him balanced.
3200m is a worry as hes failed and its also a race he wasnt set for , more a frustrating stab at something they can salvage from a trip that with luck could have been very good. I could be wrong as i'm usually more wrong than right (remember pressday) ![]() but he does have my heavy weight off him for this race so he could win by a mile. Lang looks the obvious and i didnt mind Prix Du Sangs run in the Tatts , he could be the blow out and the firmer track will help. |

![]() Wonder what the field quality would have been like if run over a reduced distance - as per Perth Cup

![]() Probably significantly better I'd say Sands but it's nice to keep a few of these races on the Calendar.
The Kiwis should bring a whole planeload of nags over and grab the first four. |

LOL TheSchmile Yep the victory belongs down-under And more to come hopefully Just announced that Starspangledbanner will miss the 2010 southern hemisphere breeding season and will instead remain with Aidan O'Brien to pursue a campaign that is likely to include some of the most prestigious sprint races in the world. Something to look forward to. |
