Default Doomben Races Saturday

Race 1.
Not super keen on anything here..Rear Admiral has been there abouts in some tougher races of late..might get the sit here behind Tom Kitten and get the run of the race..Sundae jester ran a good race last start ,He's so cheeky isnt hopless but how do you line up the picnic form, tropical express has been running on but not convincing enough for me,,,,, i think Rear Admiral has better form lines and is rock hard fit for this.....I'd have to get better than 4.60 to get me interested..
Race 2
The top 2 look the obvious ..Emit Time will be improved looked ordinary last start be will be ready now..Enrique has shown ability,,,but i like Bridie bow e/w here..her last 2 runs have been excelent 1st go up to the 1200m and it should suit....has a good barrier and no weight..
looking for value . will be working excotics with the top 2..
Race 3
All the rage is Written by Xaar and has every right to be ...good form lines ..not sure why its up here though,,,i'm prepared to take her on ..I like Maxy legs ..love the jockey..the blinkers are a plus ,,likes the distance and has had the freshen.. ..should of won her last 2 runs and should be nice value here...Yubi and Bunsen the other dangers..
Yubi is versatile ..can lead or come from the back,,
Bunsen is better suited to this distance they'll run this race to suit..
Maxy at 10's or higher might sneak under the radar..
Race 4
Was on Octama last start and will stick by him...it was a good run behind twanged without being spectacular but the extra distance suits...not sure about engineer who seems a nonwinner to me,,thought Red Pill could run a good race at e/w odds..
Race 5.
Was on Words of Magic last start but i think hes vulnerable here..races best fresh and last run was gutbuster...Imprisioned looks to speedy ..cant see anything matching him....Katenian can also give cheek in these sprints..
Gloucester Rd a chance of placing ..
Race 6
Cant seperate Alifly and Unbound ...might have some fun working excotics around these 2 plus Danefull (might get a cheap lead) , Rowboat and Picablu..
Race 7.
Mastermind ..although the distance is a queery...he relaxes well and loved the way he fought on last start..should be able to dictate here or even if he sits outside hard to catch i still think he has something on him,,,
Race 8.
Really like Dynamic Dancer here...not much chop in this race ...really confident here..

Nothing i'm really excited about today...best bets look Octama and Dynamic Wave ..and i'm fairly confident with Rear Admiral and Mastermind...

Good Luck All

Well i am not really all that confident about anything tommorow. Sydney is just really even, melbourne there are a lot of querry runners, adelaide has its pathetic races again and havn;t really looked at doomben yet, but if mav isnt confident i definately won;t be.

Hope you are right
In CAU R5 I have them as:3-7-9-4
No 5 (Hunter H) might be the danger
Cheers

Hey all, couple of small fields at doomben tomorrow.....should help us find a winner....

Race 1 - Like He's So Cheeky here. Never comes to town just for the run - always there to win. Weight is no problem, he won well with a similar impost 3 back at Eagle Farm. This race doesnt look too strong either. Tropical Express will be running on like he usually does, but is finding it a bit hard to win...but in the easier grade, who knows? All Energy maybe a rough place chance.

Race 2 - Enrique. Won 2 from 2 first up and won them really well. Speed should be no problem and if Colless can get him to the outisde in clear running room, he'll be storming home. Emit Time will improve on the 1st up run for sure, the wide alley worries me a little though. Magique Mine won well on debut and can go on with it here.

Race 3 - I'm never a big fan of these horses who come to Brisbane with form around Sydney/Melbourne whihc isn't winning form. So i'm prepared to risk Written By Xaar at this stage. Nice speed in this race so i like Seahawk Lass at odds. Got home well at few starts back at Doomben at bigs odds. Hialeah Star can cruise along out infront at good speed, and can hang on well. Yubi was good last time, lotta speed here though....

Race 4 - Shmeh...Don't really care to be brutally honest. Aerosol can lead here (not much speed) and give a good sight at odds. Engineer is around the mark and maybe Robert Royale for a place, with a very astute trainer...

Race 5 - Imprisoned looks far too speedy for them over 1100. Messiaen can go alright fresh and really went ahead in leaps and bounds last prep...can go on with it this time too. Katenian is not one of mine, but he could go OK tomorrow...

Race 6 - Planagram is a very speedy galloper and if they can sort of hold him together out in front, he'll be tough to catch. Alifly has won well the last few but i just pick him for some reason....Picablu appears to be down a lot in class here and has a lot of ability on his day...

Race 7 - If they get Mastermind to the lead without too much trouble, he wins. Not much leading pace here, although Hard To Catch can be there if they want to. Lachlan River won't be wound up here and so i'll have him in 3rd position. Can sprint well fresh-ish though.

Race 8 - Don't care much for this race either. Audubon has plenty of potential, the wide alley is the concern though...Rafso will be caught wide again, if he drew an alley he'd go very close. If they can get home from the tail, Scarlet Stalker has a show too...

Best are He's So Cheeky and Imprisoned...

Good luck all

Sven

Smile MY First Post...Hopefully lucky!

Brisbane tips seem to be the way to go on this forum, so here goes...

Race 1

Liked the form out of the Front door race, and look for value in this race. Tudor Quest and All Energy E/W, no 1 the big danger but they should be value - need 7/1 at least.

Race 2

Alot of pace, Enrique should get a nice trail from 1 and just win (although I'll need $4 to bet), have numbers 1,4,12 in your multi's

Race 5

Again a lot of pace, and I'm going wide, If Katenian settles may just about get this, he could have the last shot at them, need $11 EW

Race 6

TRY FOR A TRI: 5,6,7 - 4,5,6,7 - 4,5,6,7,9

Race 8

One of the most talented horses racing all around Australia today, a potential topliner who could be anything, his name is Audubon. Still from the barrier and with the large field couldnt rate him better than $6.50, although may have a nibble a little shorter on potential.

Good luck, hope its 'first post' lucky and we can get in the good books with the missus...

Syd:

R2: Pimpala Player. Just an interest bet if 6/1 or better. Not a lot of obvious chances, Dansihed likes it wet for mine & fave too short. Should lead.

R3: Careal Boy. Looks well placed on its recent form. A few backmarker types in this who will struggle to pick up this old bloke. 5/1 or better.

R4: Snitzel gets his chance here. Domesday fresh? May be lacking in some brilliance though. I might watch this race

R5: I got set 6/1 about Nevis first up, so i may pass here if below 3/1. I'll have an interest bet on Tui Song. Had a lot of racing last couple of months but has class. 1400m will suit.

R6: Dizelle if 5/1 or better. Big sprint. I'm a big CIS fan, though, but never s decent price nowadays. Bowman had a shocker on him first up.

R7: Gut feeling about Opportunity. Has more scope for improvement over Fashions. Media drawn a little wide & had the gun run 1st up. Mnemosyne has not shown any accelleration or depth since its first start against babies. I'm thinking it lacks real class. Opportunity at 4/1 or more a good bet

R8: Prince Frederick. I liked his first up win. 2 starts from spell now & lightly raced. Nice barrier & kept a little fresh for this. Nice bet. I'll take on the early season 3yo here at the odds. Abdication will run well too. 4/1 the Prince

R9: One In a Million @ $4.50. just looks well placed to me. jury's out on Lotteria for mine, so I'll happily bet against her here at the short odds. If i preceive value about Danni Martine, Lieutenant & Cool Front I'll take them as well. A tri race i'd say.

No great value, but oh well.

MLB:

Yesterday I backed Catscan at $21.

I backed Our Smoking Joe, Perlin & Lad of the Manor in the Liston. Everybody expects Regal Roller to just win. Hence ther's good value about some classy types in this.

I have backed Honest Polly in his last 2 starts. Looks well placed here, but price will dictate now. I hate to say it but Civil's run last start was very, very good. King on board, just have to check his wet form.

The Freedman trio Tick By, Noble Red & Storm Alert have a real class edge, so if the prices are decent I'll take them.

Hi Brave Chief...i give Civil a good e/w chance,,the woodmans like the wet and he did run a good race in the slow..drop in weight helps.
a couple of good muddies in the race Out of options and Hunter look good aswell,,,might be a good tri race.
thought Cash the chips in Adelaide r5 could run a cheeky race with no weight and a liking for the wet,, should be good e/w odds will be working excoitcs around Cash, chikaloo and flashinthepan....
Little Dozer comes into race7 ..loves the wet and has been in good form...i can see king's arch and the dozer fighting out..

Oi, stay away from my Civil, lol.

I think he's a real show, hopefully double figs, your dead right about the muddies Mav i think the Hunter will take a power of running down.

As for the comment about Mnemysone or however you spell it, she was run off her legs last start but actually hit the line OK, she is very well in at the weights and i give her a top chance, extra 200m and race fitness huge plus.
