Default betfair/tab

interesting article in the financial review about the above and the methods to block the new operation.
considering the terrible service given to punters by the industry at present is it any wonder that people might look elsewhere.
with no racing on austar and blocked by sky channel teletext now offering very restricted service and the terrible internet betting site at Racetab its time to go back to golf.
i know i continually complain about the racetab site but as an example it takes 40 seconds to 1 minute to refresh each page on a 56k modem.
when placing a bet this can involve a few pages and by the time you hit the submit button its easy to miss the race.
putting the next race screen on has helped but the process is terribly slow.
many tab branches and agencies have closed down in tasmania and the nearest to us is 22 kms away.
i think the industry is committing hari kiri

Hey topsy
i read that too today..What interested me was the last bit which mentioned that Tab ltd, which has now been bought by tabcorp, last year made submissions to register the trade marks Tabexchange and Tabfair...

This may amount to nothing cos it was registered over a year ago, and although they publicly condemn exchanges, are the black suit monsters of our favourite tab planning to set one up for themselves??
