Default Horse to Follow

Does anybody out there know a good way to select a horse and follow it until it returns a profit? I have a staking plan that will take care of a run and still return a good profit, just need to get my head around a way to get the initial selection, Also if there is a website(s) out there that may help in my quest to find these elusive winners :-)

Your owon eyes are your best weapon Bottles. Look for a horse that had a very troubled run and would have dramatically improved his finish position without the trouble. The Stewards reports will help with this. Look for a horse that was bet, but now you should get much healthier odds. I love a horse that finishes a very close 4th after trouble, rather than 3rd or higher. The public perceives 4th as much worse than 3rd, but it is not. Read any articles about the race where your horse was troubled to gather anymore info that youi can.

A track bias that plays against a horses' style, can lead to a nice p[rice next up. Look for a closer at a speed favoring track(Ipswich-to me it favors speed) who closes to no avail, then look for his next run at a deep closers track.

These are probably a little less concrete than you are looking for, but they can be successful if you pay attention.

Wink

too right saratoga. Be more concerned about margins rather than placings and wheter or not the horse which caught your eye would have won if it hadn't been so unlucky.
