![]() The following horses are pre-post favourites for their respective races at Belmont today. They are winning chances, but according to my ratings are quoted well under their true winning odds. A very risky wager at the quoted odds.
Race 1 no. 1 Tignadina - quoted 2/1 Race 2 no. 1 Amio – quoted 4/7 Race 4 no. 1 Grand Cavalier – quoted 5/2 _________________ All the best from the West Sandgroper  [ This Message was edited by: Sandgroper on 2002-07-06 10:53 ] |

![]() Amio should still win by panels of fencing but the other two are false favourites, I think.

![]() R1 Tignadina 9/4 Fav - 5th, beaten by 4.25 lengths.
R2 Amio 4/9 Fav - 1st by 1.75 lengths R4 Grand Cavalier 9/4 Fav - 3rd, beaten by 1.75 lengths. Well spotted, Sandgroper. I stayed off all of them. You could have also included on your list of dodgy favourites: R3 Golden Delicious 5/4 2nd R5 Tumeric 13/8 2nd R6 Master Park 5/4 2nd R8 Give Me A Chance 11/4 9th. My point is that Perth consistently throws up more dodgey markets than the national average. Which is great as there's more value here by not taking the skinny odds. I didn't have time to pre-post my selections but for the record, I backed R1 Awesome Annie 3/1 1st R3 Bellcina 8/1 7th R4 Northern Beau 8/1 8th R6 Island Light 9/2 1st R7 Pindarri 4/5 1st R8 Urastat 8/1 6th Only 35% return at level stakes, but better than losing. |
