Default Eagle Farm Saturday

Race 1.
Not super keen in this race..I thought Aerosol who'll lead this would take alot of catching..Stathi rates them well out in front and there doesnt seem to be any other front runner in the field i like the freshen and drop in distance,,..Lindholme the danger with the claim and in good form ..should take the sit and do the chasing..

Race 2.
Throw a dart here...i thought Jennifer Ann looked good in her trial,,,the toppy by the new sire Anglia looks ok but drawn wide..,,and Winura down the bottom has done ok in her trials and has drawn the all important inside barrier.. ..heaps of chances here..pay to follow the money me thinks..

Race 3.
I've been a fan of Nova Star and even with the weight i think can run a good race,,alot of tipsters have jumped off him which is good as they'll load up on My Son day and Top gun lane,,
Byrne from the good barrier will boot this one home...confident..

Race 4.
Rue the Saint at 13's ?? i like the freshen for him and the drop in distance..this horse a few starts ago if clear would of tested Lachlan river..should get the tempo to suit as well,,,worth an e/w ,,doesnt lose anything with young yoshy on board..
Rampant lion the danger and looks well placed but you'll be lucky to get 2.50

Race 5.
Red Pill down the bottom is well in this...needs a strong rider and gets that with Bobby.. I'm not a fan of Grand Semi who seems dour..Tackman will be short and deserves it and well in with the claim..
Red Pill should be nice e/w value and the track will suit..

Race 6.
Not an easy race this..i have a few all rated about the same..Messian, Minassi, Katenian, Picablu and close up Undenied at odds...
Katenian will get the nice sit behind Messian and Omnitrader...Minaasi just needs an out from the inside and will be there somewhere and races well fresh
,,,,and Undenied whos been doing some freakish things up north and in good time with weight ,, should be real good odds...might have an e/w on Undenied and go wide with the tri and 1st4.
hard race as its hard to ignore Messian's recent form..

Race 7.
Allegro should lead here..will be hard to catch ..but a horse i liked the look of last prep is Succeeding .. has had the trial to get ready for this and even though this is alittle short of his distance will sprint well fresh and has a good jock on board,,might get some value aswell

Race 8.
Can't argue the form about Riverhunter..great run behind imprisioned and looks very well placed here....guessing every man and his dog will be on this horse..if your looking for value Uvidius is a very good looking horse of mclachlans ..looks to have some talent and ran well last start jumping from a class1 to a class6 ..gets the gun run here and the gun adelaide jock as well..i think the distance jump suits as will any rain around..

Hoping for a better day than last weel where i only got 1 winner....as i stated i wasnt confident last week but i like a few tomorrow..
Nova Star, Succeeding and Red pill all should run well..

Good Luck all

Race 5: Super Imprint, and maybe a little on Wheel the Lead
Race 6: Will be getting on Messiaen, but also like Katenian, Mardi Gras, Undenied & Star of Asia (in no order) might have to try for the tri or first 4.
Race 7: Naval Seal
Race 8: River Hunter

Good luck tomorrow, i hope i do a little better than last week :S

G'day Mav,

Should be a cracking days racing tomorrow, looking forward to it. Not too bad in Brissy, bigger fields should ensure a bit more value.

Race 1 - Bit of pace here on paper, and the 1600m races are usually run at a good clip. For that reason, i like Caprill. Always seems to run well when she comes to town and from the good draw, i expect a decent run at odds. Cut a Caper is dropping in class here, after being backed a big odds last time and could run a race. Gold Victory isn't hopeless either, with a bit of speed on up front.

Race 2 - Don't know, and won't be betting. The ones to watch might be Plachutta, Simply Fantastic and Valconic. But as Mav said, go with the money if you really want a bet.

Race 3 - Nova Star does look to be a good chance here after the good 1st up run. Will get a great run with J Byrne riding and hopefully she's not too short. Rashini is a good fresh horse, and the inside alley will be a help....Colless is in hot form too. Craiglea Cowboy isn't hopeless at odds, will be on pace and could take a lot of catching.

Race 4 - Nothing wrong with Cold Start's form, and still gets in with no weight after the claim. Can sit right on the pace, and will take some catching. Shady Brady has some admirers last start and was disappointing, could bounce back tomorrow if things go his way. Classic Karla is as consistent as they come, and will be there at the business end for sure. The 1800m start is a nightmare for the outside alleys though...

Race 5 - Tackman should get home here i think, if he repeats his last runs. Won't get any flash odds, but the alley and the claim ensure a decent run (i hope). Wheel the Lead has no weight and has been crying out for a staying trip lately and gets it here. He's Tackman's biggest danger. Delicata with the claim has a rough lightweight hope here too, getting up to a staying journey.

Race 6 - Good race. A lot of pace here, which is why i think Undenied can go close. He'll settle back a little, but with the pressure on he can sprint home hard (as he has been doing up north). It's a class jump to be sure, but i think he'll be better value than a couple of the others. Messiaen has been in super form and has shown he can handle big weights. Minassi is a good young horse with a good chance from the inside with Byrne too. Lot of chances outside of these though.

Race 7 - Free As Air can go close here i think, with plenty of speed on up front. The 1200m, the Eagle Farm straight and the claim with all ensure that he gets a good run and a chance to run some of these leaders down at the death. Allegro Spiritoso was a little disappointing on face value last time, but she is definately capable of winning this. Naval Seal is a good horse, the 1200m is a query though, i'm not sure he'll be suited.

Race 8 - King of Spin is ready to win after the first up 4th at the mid-weeks. This isn't a strong race, so i think he'll go very close from the good alley. Noble Gaze is a tough horse to pick, but if everything goes his way hes a chance. River Hunter was a good run last time in vastly superior grade and if he handles the weight OK, then he goes close to winning...won't get any flash odds though, i'd imagine.

Best tomorrow would be Nova Star and King of Spin, with good rough chances to Caprill and Free As Air. Will be cheering hard for Lachlan River in the cup too

Good luck all

Sven

Uvidius has no hope. The race is a match between River Hunter and Mikan. River Hunter will be closer in the run and will get a softish run from barrier 6, but has to carry 57.5. Mikan will need the pace on because he'll be back near last. He'll be powering home at the finish.

BRS

R3:

Rampant Lion $2.10
Shady Brady $3.50
Monee Lane $10.50
He's Latin $10.50

I think the top 2 can improve a little bit. Nice price on offer about Shady.

R4:

Minassi $3.11
Mardi Gras $3.89
Star of Asia $6.22
Little Punc $10.37
Public Opinion $10.37

I've already backed Minassi @ $13. Good value for mine, gets a lot of ticks & is a lightly raced improver.

Thats it in Brissy for me, I'll follow a few of your tips if theres some value.

Default Adelaide

R1:

Divine Maddonna $2.89
Glorios Baron $4.13
Allstar $5.25
Birdbrain: $7.05

Doubt any value on offer here.

R2:

Oahu $2.02
Pluvius $2.38
Priya $11.88

Same story

R3:

Lady Llaroo $3.20
Whipasnapa $4.92
Cadgee Gold $5.25
Cooggee Beech $6.40
Fashion Shoot $7.27

R4:

Sparkling Now $2.17
Absolute Heaven $2.49
Jetset Girl $7.23

Sparkling Now looks like the best value bet in Adl all day if you can get that 7/2

Zipping looks a good thing in race 6 but will most likely be odds-on so I'll skip it.
