Default Toowoomba Cup

Gday All

it's Toowoomba Cup Day... It's a listed Race and has attracted a pretty fair field.. Stitty has taken Precise Timing all the way from Taree, and it has come up very short on the NSW TAB.. At his last start at Port Macquarie he was an absolute put in take out proposition, and he duly won the Cup in fine fashion... Today, I am not prepared to call him over the line.. Having said that he will be fighting it out at the finish

This a good field with plenty of horses with plenty of good form... Rue the Saint is in the field and I think he won this last year at huuuuuuuuuuge odds.. His form at the the track is impressive, 10 goes and in the money 7 times.. his distance record is also good 4 runs, in the money 3 times.. He will be at odds so maybe is worth an E/W nibble.

Johhny Hawkes has Mythological over after it's last start win in town in an Open.. Galloway has the sit.. But the horse is untried at the distance.. so caution may be the better part of valor here

Grand Semi has very good credentials at this track and distance, Been to the track 5 times for 3 wins and the distance is a fine record of 8 starts and in the money 6 times

Classic Carla is way under the odds (IMO) on the NSW TAB,,, Tho it's distance record is impeccable 8 goes and in the money 6 times.. It has started at this track 2 times for 2 seconds.. and is weighted well

I have Rampant Lion rated on top ( the formula I use sometimes throws up some funny ones) but it has had 13 starts and has been out of the money once.. but is untried at Track/Distance..

The Marvel from this way Precise Timing is the fav.. but again I am not prepared to call him as a good thing, but he is one of my fav country gallopers and he owes me absolutely nothing.. He has a very good rider on board in Terry Triechel and has done nothing wrong, but I am not overly confident that this is a race for him particularly with 59kg (tho he won the Port Cup with 60) he is spotting his nearest rival (weight wise) 3.5 kg... He will want to be good to win this .. but maybe he is...

This quick run down has probably missed the winner, this race is a pretty good even race.. the fav should be about 4.5$ the field

I think in a race like this a multi is the go

Thoughts anyone?

Good luck if you choose to have a bet...
