Cool sandown again?

Why are they at Sandown again on Saturday, whats wrong with Caulfield and Flemington, surely they would have recovered from respective carnivals by now.I know Sandown has hillside and lakeside but what is it now 4 straight saturday meetings
Cheers

They raced on a Saturday at Moonee Valley on 26 November which is two weeks ago.

Reason Caulfield is not being used is because the track is being redeveloped and will be out of action for some months yet (they started ripping it up the day after the Caulfield Cup). The traditional Boxing Day meeting normally held at Caulfield has been transferred to Flemington.

Many of Flemington's meetings (midweeks) are being transferred to Werribee (Wednesday's meeting this week was one) and also to Bendigo as the VRC attempt to preserve the track for the autumn carnival but they do race there next week on Saturday 17th December.

While two of the Sandown midweek meetings to be held in January 2006 have been transferred to Ballarat and Cranbourne respectively.
