Default Where to get full dog results

Hi,

I'm a new member. Been lurking for a while.
Can anyone point me to where on the web I can get race results. Particularly the full finishing order, down to 8th place.

I know GRV have all the Victorian results, and NCA have Wenty park nca meeting results. But I need the other main meetings. Right now I need Wenty park 23rd Jan 2006 (last night).

Thanks in advance.

Amanda

Hi Commander.
How long you been losing money on the greyhounds?
I'm an expert at it.

Can I tell you that the more mathematical and scientific effort I put in,the more financially worse off I am!

And can I tell you why!
One reason is because everybody who is anybody is doing the same and there ain't no value.

Good Luck anyway.
But one thing is for sure.!
If Woofer can't come up with satisfactory results with his approach, then no-one can.
Unless Perhaps you go EXOTICS!

So who said I was losing money. And anyway, you didn't actually answer my question. But I did manage to find the full results for last nights wenty park meet.

Mathematical & scientific effort. Know what a Pearson correlation is?

My system on wenty park last night (23rd January 2006).
All the ratings ( every dog, every race; Pearson = 0.28).
Best rating (below a certain magic number), every race ; Pearson = 0.83.
The reason it's "below" a certain number, is because my math produces points against.

10 races.
5 qualifying selections.
3 bets ( 2 were too short)
2 thirds paying $2.30 & $1.60 place. R2 no 7 & R4 no 2.
1 first paying $1.90 place. R5 no 4.
POT = 93%.
Of the 2 that were too short & I didn't bet, one ran first, the other is probably still running.

I'm only betting $1.00 to place at the moment while refining the system.
I know it's too small a sample as yet, but several previous meetings at wenty park & the meadows are similar.

I DID!

No, I didn't.

No, I don't.

Looks good if you a place punter.
Not so if you a win punter.
Good luck. I lost thousands. But I gonna win it back.
And then some.

Pearson Correlation. Look it up. Might learn something.

Meadows 21st January 2006.
R1 no 1 first $2.40 win $1.10 place
R2 no 4 too bad (actually, he ran a good 4th)
R6 no 1 first $2.00 win $1.30 place
R7 no 3 equal third $1.00 place
R8 no 6 seventh
R11 no 1 first $2.60 win $1.40 place

Thats 3 wins, a third, and 2 no div. This is pulled stright from the spreadsheet. If memory serves me correctly, one of those 2 "no divs" was a no bet because it was too short, or no third dividend. So thats 3 wins from 5 bets.

But like I said. Too small a sample at this stage. After a few more meets, I'll try & post my selections pre-race.

Yes I will look it up.
Thank you for your advice.

Very good win results in your Meadow assessment, but let down badly in your place punting.
66% place getters and still lose is a poor result.

Your winners appear to be too skinny.
That is a good reason for you to consider expanding what you are doing to come up with some exotics with your selections as bankers.

Looks to me that if you are betting for place, you are playing for other reasons than financial gain.
I complement you if so.
Nice to read your stuff and hope you continue to keep posting.
Like I said,I have lost thousands and if I can see you slipping into my numerous bad plans and pitfalls,I would be happy to straighten you out.

Cheers Mo.

Hi Amanda.
I checked out that Pearson correlation and got frightened away!

If you can understand that Pearson, you must be rich like Woofer.
In that case I don't understand why you are betting so small, and also don't understand why you are betting at all.
I think you may have a bit of me in you.
Betting for other reasons than for financial security.

I am small and frightened of getting physically hurt.So gambling gives me my needed adrenalin rush.

Cheers.

Pearson; fire up your favourite spreadsheet program, click on help, and enter Pearson in the search box.
Don't know about M$ Excel, as I don't use it. I use Open Office.

Am I rich? As in lots of money? NO. Mind you, I ain't poor either.
Rich like woofer? Quite possibly.

Why am I betting so small?
1: lots of systems work fine on paper, but go to pot as soon as you put money on it.
2: I'm fairly certain I need at least one more input variable into my equations, as my correlation between my rating scores and actual final placings is still a little too shy of 100% for my liking.
3: Maybe it's a hobby. Exercises the brain cells. Gives me a nice diversion from work. Maybe I'll get rich & give up work....LOL.

Hi commanda,

for all Qld meetings try : http://www.graq.org.au/graq5/results-new.htm

detailed results for Albion Park, including sectionals, can be found here : http://www.brisgrey.com/all.htm

SA info can be found here : http://www.greyhoundracingsa.com.au/racing_frame.html

WA info from here : http://www.greyhoundswa.com.au/

Victoria you know about. Wentworth Park is shared by NCA and GBOTA so you have to go to both sites to get all the results. These clubs also control a number of other clubs such as Gosford, Maitland and Lismore (GBOTA) and The Gardens (NCA).

Results for Dapto, Bulli, Nowra etc can be found at the individual club's websites.

Used to be able to get run times for all runners for Richmond and Angle Park from the old NSW tab site - click on photofinishes - but I have just had a look and it appears the service has been discontinued.
