Just supposing you had a horse with good potential, who would be your preferred Trainer and Jockey combination?

(Regardless of normal alliances and Master/Apprentice ties..... and era)

Who would you have:

1. Train your horse, and
2. Ride your horse?

For me it would be:

1. D. L. Freedman - success with all types of horses
2. D. Oliver - IMHO - Simply the Best

I know, not very imaginative but it's my combination...

Although in Newcastle I would say J Hawkes/A. Robinson.

Waterhouse/ D. Beasley is also very good lately.

Freedman / King Melbourne
Hawkes / Beadman Sydney
Hayes / Leckey Adelaide

Leckey might be a bolter but i've been very impressed with him of late ...i'll put the mocker on him and say hes "Very promising"
