Giving tips for a Slow Sandown track? I thought the way to go was to back anything showing 15/1 or longer

According to the Australian yesterday Melbourne is having one of the driest winters for years - so how come the tracks are all rated Heavy or Slow? Hate to see what it's like when you have a wet winter!

EI, If you think MACEDON LADY has a chance, I might also back MAGRAVINE. Looks like it ran 2nd in another division on same day / track (Seymour) as MACEDON LADY. Similar relative weights today, time faster in MAGRAVINE race, beaten just under a length.
We will know in about 7 mins.

Good pickup EI. I should have followed my own advice though - there were 57 runners paying between $15 and $100 at Sandown today - 3 of them came in for total dividend of $87.50. Can always rely on a wet Sandown to throw up some long-shots - can't work out how to pick them though (apart from backing every longshot!).

Huge run by MACEDON LADY, well worth following, although still untried in better going.
