Having Barry Hall back?
When was he not going to play? It is the AFLs perrogative to develop the game in Sydney, and no matter what Hall did, he was always going to be playing in the GF. |

Thats the same reason Gasper got off....they could not let one blantant attack go unpunished yet suspend another player because of a similar action.....

Ah Yes, inconsistency is the name of the game. You have to look no further than the umpiring performances week in week out for confirmation of that fact.
Although I do believe that allowing Big Bad Bustling Barry to play will make for a more entertaining and competitive match. For me Goodes is the key, if he can have a positive influence i think Sydney will have the West Coast covered. Maybe an outside chance at a Norm Smith.

I would think that it will come down to the occassion. Sydney will be ready to go, they have a team full of contributors and the moment will not overcome them.
West Coast however have the class. But they also have an inexperienced forward line. Admittedly it has held up so far for them, but the Grand Final is a completely different ball game. This for me is where the game will be decided. My tip is that it will be a nervous start from the Eagles, with Sydney playing the hard ball. Close to 3 quarter time, and the Eagles will steady and bang the goals on to win reasonably easily. For me, West Coast by more than 5 goals. But nothing would surprise. All I can ask is that the game is worthy of all the beers I will be drinking, imagining what could have been... Again.... |

Personally I can't see the Swans losing this game if the umpires do their job correctly.
Sydney where ripped off by bad umpiring decisions against West Coast, then they gritted their teeth and held on for a determined win against Geelong. St Kilda was an easier win for Sydney, but still a test of courage and determination, a come from behind win that shows me they are willing and able to beat West Coast on Saturday. SYDNEY SWANS 1-39.5 will be getting some of my hard earned this weekend. Sydney want it more than West Coast. |

My head tells me Sydney. My heart tells me nothing. Its just another game for me. Sydney was robbed last time they met.

Dunno if you're right Jack, but this is certainly the most influential statistic with bearing on the result of an evevt. If you could come up with a formula to track this stat down,in any kind of sport, you will win millions. Unfortunately it is probably "pie in the sky" |
