Who is going to win the Sydney jockey premiership – Corey Brown (on assumption he is successful with his appeal later this week) or Darren Beadman. My money is on Beadman, think he is about to strike a real purple patch.

Considering the situation, do you think stewards should defer Corey’s suspension till after the end of the season?

I think even with his suspension, Beadman is by far and away the better jockey. His longterm strike rate especially in the bigger races is much better.
The problem is that most of his rides that should be about 4/1 start at even money, and when the horse fails, people immediately boo Beadman. It isn't his fault, it's the poor odds the public make his horses...many false favourites.

The best way to get value out of Beadman is to back his horses over 10/1 each way. Suprisingly, he has a great place strike rate with these horses, and occasionally one salutes!

I see the honours were even today - 2 winners each.

The battle continues - Corey Brown's appeal against a careless riding suspension will now be heard by the Appeals Panel at 5pm on Monday, 22 July 2002.

Corey Brown is currently leading on 106.
Darren Beadman (104.5) has a book of seven rides for the eight card meeting at Warwick Farm on Wednesday. Will he make it? Which horses will win for him?

I think Darren will just scrape in. I see his best chances in races 4, 5 & 6.

No disrespect beadman and brown , they both
are very good jockey in Sydney ONLY.I would
not rated them the champion jockey.a champion
jockey is the one adapt itself no matter where they race either home town or oversea.
Personally i rated Seamer , Oliver, Mcevoy,
Nickolic ,Baster in my top five in order.
cheers!

Well blow me down! Darren Beadman only needed to ride two winners today to claim the title, instead rode three seconds.

I think the top 3 jockeys are Oliver, Seamer and Beadman. Brown is very good though. Rides some good priced winners.
