Default Sky Ratings....

Anyone know how they work them out?

Just watching Kembla Grange race 3 and I noticed that the 5 Emilion, was a ratings special.

Now the 7 Orkan Sky, which had 1 start for a flashy finish to be beaten into 2nd in a photo was to start favourite.

Now how can a horse that has 0 starts, be a ratings special over a horse with 1 second from 1 start.

And Emilion won. What do they know, and what are they basing their ratings on if not previous form?

And perhaps also the fact that the horse had a total of seven trials before having an actual race start - unusual to say the least.

Yeah I had a punt on that race and I also found it very suss, however waterhouse has a habit of taking her new horses down to the grange with little form and getting good odds.

I don't see it as strange/suss whatever you wanna call it... It's called an easy kill... She is not the only one to take unraced horses or horses with moderate form to the provs, and they duly win. O'Shea and Hawkes are champions at it on a Saturday.. (raced and unraced) there is good money to be made when you see Hawkes/Robinson at a Provincial meeting, or O'Shea/Lee or Waterhouse/Newnham/Freeman.. They do it every saturday, week in week out, and the Money is the same colour as the money you get betting on the Saturday Metro meetings...( the winner are usually easier to find than in the city) if you take the time to look
