a question please.
the ratings featured on the unitab odds page.
how are they brought about and with what formula.
also the the ratings in the advertiser [a south aust paper]
these seem to put up a lot of placings and a win of around 26%
it seems the art of rating is the holy grail.
can we confuse ourself with too much info?
i think i do hence my striving to leave out as much emotion as possible with tips.
the old "i knew that would win trick"or "i,ve been following that horse for ages then just when i get off it wham."
oh well we strive to survive another day.
the forum continues to go from strength to strength.

Rooberger,

The ratings are provided by AAP Racing in Sydney.I f you contact them, they will tell you that the ratings they sell to the public are better, but in fact there is very little difference between them.

As the Unitab ratings are FREE - ENJOY !

Cheers,Yubet

I don't know the formula but the Racebook Techform ratings which are on the VicTAB betting site leave a lot to be desired.

I have seen two horses rated at 100!

Horses with very poor form and chance in the race rated 98 etc.

I wonder if they just guess or what the formula is because I'm totally baffled at how they come up with what they do.
