Default Miss Finland

Was out all day Saturday so didnt see any of the races but am just looking at the replays now (been sick). What on earth was Williams and Hayes thinking???? Did the stewards announce that she would be ridden like this?

If not i would have been sending a sizable cheque to them for failing to inform puinters of this. Hopefuly im wrong....

What would you have funded the cheque with? The way she was ridden cost everyone there cash.

Whilst i admit to not betting on her straight out but she f***** up all my doubles and parlays!

Sorry Real Deal, thats exactly my point! Luckily i was not near a computer on Saturday or a hefty slice of my betting bank would have been wiped out with those appaling tactics of Williams and Hayes!

If i had have put my hard earned on a horse that was to be ridden upside down, and from my point of view lost the race before it even started, and the public were not made aware of the change in tactics i would have been furious!!!!

Miss Finland set up a huge lead under Craig Williams who claimed he could not restrain the filly before finishing second.
“It was unconventional to say the least,” said Messara. (As reported on Racenet)

Even if she did bolt on him I can't really see her making the 2040m of the cox plate that connections are considering.

There was nothing wrong with the ride by williams. She ran the first 1000 in 62 seconds which is hardly flying. Obviously it wasnt how they planned to ride the horse but if the horse was pulling the only thing to do was let it stride out. In my opinion miss finland is feeling the preperation and should spell. The winner of the race had as much reason to pack it in as mf but didnt and i thought it was a very merit worthy performance IMO.

Whilest i havent commented on the actual ride by Willimas my point is that as a punter i would be furoius if the punters were not informed of this change in tactics. The closest she's sat in the last 2 preps is 5th in a 6 horse field.

How do you figure that? No point reading anything in to the race.

Its very hard to call David Hayes a mug but those tactics before the Thousand Guineeas are ridiculous. Of course the proof will be in the puding but there's no way i'll be backing her again this prep after that run!

They were not 'tactics'. Hayes was just as surprised as everyone else.
