Depending on your strike rate of course.......Wouldn't you be better off betting $40 and $60..... or $30/$70 (or $20/$80).... or if it's so weighted the win then just $100 the win.....just seems odd.... but then that's just me.... odd !

I try to find good winning selections. If I change to $20/$80 then if they finish in the first three and pay a place dividend of only $1.30, I would still make a profit. Just a better way to cover my bets.

Ade, your not going to make a bean betting [any combination] of e/w on odds-on horses. In fact unless you have really good darts your not going to make a bean betting odds-on. Approx. 50% of them at those rotten odds get beaten for starters!

You might do better backing the 2nd and 3rd fav. for the win [only] AGAINST any odds-on fav.
