Those of you who have a NSW TAB account probably already know about this but for benefit of anyone else who may be interested:

NSW TAB is running a "survivor" style tipping contest. No cost to enter (but you have to have a betting account with them) and prize is $10000.

Basically they nominate one race each week and you have to try to pick the winner. If your selection doesn't place your are "eliminated". If it runs a place you go through to the next week and if it wins you get "immunity" and skip the next week (ie. you go through to next fortnight). Last person remaining gets the money.

Towards the end of the competition i understand you have to correctly tip a exacta/trifecta correctly on the race nominated by them.I think that round might knock a substantial amount of players.

Of 7775 players - 6,304 eliminated!

441 go on to week 3 (immunity from next week), and 1,030 play week 2.

Fortunate to be part of 1,030 but the stress is already getting to me! :???:

For those not playing the selected race that you had to tip was Race 4 at Rosehill. 16 runners and I reckon at least 7 or 8 had a reasonable chance of winning which was obviously reflected in the results!

Extremely hard to pick races like that. Look at the number of eliminations 1st round!!!

It may in fact result in NOBODY left at the end.

Then what do they do, change the rules a little to come up with a winner?

Good luck Sandgroper and anyone else still live. I'm also one of the 6,304 becareful, I got down to a shortlist of 10 ! Agree EI, more races like that and there could quickly be no survivors.
