Thumbs down Racing is in the stone age

It should be obvious racing is not operating in the 21st. century internet age. If racing was then it should be just as easy to place a bet online on the races with easy access to all the information you need to know as it is trading shares online
What do I mean by that?
Well, suppose you are betting on the Derby this Saturday.
Then for basic starters you have online live feed access on one screen to all the bookies at Flemington fielding on the Derby. You choose the horse and the best odds available, place your bet and you are set. That simple.
But we are not given that. Racing remains in the Stone Age.

Alternatively, why aren't bookies given access to punters so they know which horse the punter wants to back and they can attract them with their odds if they offering the best price? Oh yeah, they do have that service..isn't it called Betfair? Point taken Mr L. but it ain't gonna happen unless you have some runners on the ground in the ring, a couple of net jockeys and a damn good conference link...

My point is that as the bookies' prices change at the racetrack like on Cup Day so punters betting online should have live feed to all those changing odds on one screen.

Yeah, that'd be lovely, anyone bet with IAS? Isn't the IAS Super Price the best bookies price or something like that?

The Gov. will not let this happen!! if they did the TAB punters will see how much they are getting ript off. Less punters (on tab) less tax they collect, its all about money.

Unhappy

Now imagine you want to buy some shares online. There is a seller of 100,000 at 21 cents. But you're not allowed to see that sell order because the shares are placed through Broker A and not through Broker B. So the best price you can see available to buy is at 22 cents. That is absurd. Now that is how crazy and antiquated online wagering on horses is. You're not allowed to see prices available because they are not offered by the right bookies. What absolute garbage.
