![]() Thanks, Om Sharntee.
Its just what I'm looking for. I'm testing an idea that the shorter the straight then the lesser the importance of the barrier. I know there are other factors that can affect barriers but after more than a hundred races I'm showing a good profit by Laying horses that are well in the market (one horse per race) and with a good barrier draw. However, it seems the tracks that have a straight of 400 metres or longer have reduced the strike rate and profit. But its much too early to tell. Conversely, I've also looked at the opposite - horses that are also well in the market but with a poor barrier draw. They don't have a bad strike rate and I think laying them would have produced a loss. Again, its still too early to tell. Last edited by michaelg : 23rd September 2008 at 07:33 AM. |
