If those figures have a large amount of data to back them up. For me, I would simply bet them at a percentage of bank non reducing. Probably 1% of bank would be a realsistic figure as you would expect a 20+ run of outs at some stage, and it is always possible to hit another long run after that, so its better to be a bit consercative and keep your bank in a healthy position even when the tough times come (which they will at some stage no matter how good the selection method).

Hi Pluggerduck,

Betting a percentage of your bank (say 1% or 2% of a $1000 bank) non-reducing works as well as any.

Say you bet 2% i.e. $20 when you bank rises to $1050 you would then increase your bet to $21 (2% of $1050). You would continue to bet $21 until the bank rose to $1100 ($22). You continue at $22 even if your bank slips back below $1100.

This allows 50 losses before your bank would be wiped out.

I would only add to that, to provide twice the amount that you are actually prepared to lose, so in the example given use a theroetical bank of $2000, but if ever you are showing an accumalated loss of $1000 + any winnings to date on any given sequence (i.e.since last % increase) stop, and either start again with another bank or look for another selection method.
The reason I say this is because you will most definitly hit a horror run at sometime with heaps of inexplicable 2nds etc etc. so it's a mental thing to know that your bank will not be wiped out in total, you will have the chance within your own rules to stop and regroup. (been there, done that, and survived)

If you have a high SR thats a perfectly reasonable amount to bet per selection. If you have a SR similiar to teh origianl poster, at some stage, may not be this year or next year, but sooner or later you are going to bust your bank.

Anyone with those figures [if they are win bet], especially if they are not for a short period, can stake any way they like. What would the POT be, around 130% ?

Good luck to Pluggerduck I say.

With a 31%SR the theoretical run of outs in a row is approx 20

That's not to say that one hits one or two winners then another 20 outs in a row.

So the a general rule to use is to make the max run of outs represent 20% of ones bank .

That way , when we get hit with the horror run , it represents only 20% of our bank which leaves us with 80% to work with.

Another level stakes plan that works well is ...
Bet 1/200th of bank.

Adjusted up & down at the beginning of each day.

It smooths out the rapid up & down swings that occur when using a lesser divisor of bank.
