Smile Who's Hot - Who's Not

Playing around with a jockey angle for a bit of fun. For Saturday I like

Steven King and Jim Cassidy for the win.
Peter Mertens for the place
Darren Gauci and Jim Byrne are lays.

Arrow

Let's have another go. Might be better for the win back than the win lay. Bit of fun though - nothing serious.

HOT
D. Oliver
M. Pegus

NOT
J. Byrne
D. Dunn
P. Mertens
S. King

Good luck.

Most jockey are hot or cold because of the rides they get, the trainer etc.
The only current exception is one D Beadman, but then he is exceptional

Thumbs up Results Sat 9th May/Sat 16th May

Well this is a funny little system isn't it

We'll just stick with the HOT jock's I think. So we're backing for the win on Betfair, only if the pink price seconds before the advertised start time is less than or equal to the number of starters in the field.

Prices are from racing.betfair.com.au and winnings are net of 5% commission.

20090509 DOOM04-03 One Lickety Split (J Cassidy) $6.60 ... WON +5.32
20090509 DOOM08-07 Mr Slick (J Cassidy) $ 6.80 ... LOST -1.0

i have a trifecta angle i use here in the states. havent tried it for aussie racing yet.

i look at the card and take the jockey with the most mounts"X" and key him up and down on the bottom of the trifecta. i take three horses"a,b,c" from the race that i feel can beat that jock. then i take my 4th choice"d" and put that horse on the bottom.

like this

a,b,c
a,b,c,d
X

a,b,c
X
a,b,c,d

been having alot of success with it. it gets scary though because you can start out slow but eventually that jockey is gonna place in your favor. ive either pushed or profited. but i had one night were i got stumped because the jock that had the most rides really wasnt a mind blower type of jock so now i evaluate every jock real good before making him my key jockey. i had one jock up here place in every race and i collected nicely. deshawn parker at mountaineer raceway- night track.

id like to try it on aussie racing but theres no where i can get a listed of jocks rides so i dont have to sit and count each jock in every race.

Default Hi pharfromoz

Some sites provide trainer & jockey index for the meet as part of the free form guides they offer. For example (not sure if I'm allowed to mention) - racenet.
