Last year’s Thousand Guineas winner Gallica has joined Maldivian and Cats Whiskers on the spring sidelines.

Gallica had been found to have bone chips in its knees and would be going for arthroscopic surgery.

Gallica showed a return to her best form when an eye-catching 5th behind Allez Wonder in the Group I Toorak Handicap at Caulfield last Saturday.
