Hi RJ, Gee it has been as quite as, on the forum of late!
I also like Crescent and Soldado for reasons similar to yourself. The top weight – Aquiver is the class horse of the field. Should be ready to show best following 3 runs after a spell. Also like no 14 – Varsilayos, from memory ran 2nd in this race last year. Suited by the step up in distance following 4 runs after a spell. |

After backing Aquiver last start when very game 2nd to Makybe Diva, I'm willing to back him again, despite the weight. His three runs back have been good. And I love backing previous winners of a particular race. Many chances in this, so a nice trifecta could be on the cards if you can pick 'em. Good luck.

As You Would was a great run on Oaks Day and Native Jazz and Sale of the Century would be well in this on their best form.

Varsilayos is nearing his peak and is currently only just shy of his very best ratings from last prep. A return to his best form and he'll be very hard to beat.

Also believe Varsilayos can make amends for last years (Ballarat Cup) 2nd.
Crescent & Tickle My the dangers. Soldado appears to be good value based on pre post odds (25/1). _________________ All the best from the West Sandgroper  [ This Message was edited by: Sandgroper on 2002-11-20 11:40 ] |
