Wexford is back on the punt
The bank has 1200 in it, there is a spring in the step and I am raring to go.
Great racing at Caulfield and an even card at Rosehill. My 1st bet of the day will be in the 5th at Caulfield, RUBIJON 10x10. He has been up a while but has a reasonable barrier for a change. WHOBEGOTYOU 20x20 in 6th at the heath. Sparkling 1st up effrort and will be improved. PHELAN READY 20x20 in the Golden Rose is ready to fire and the last bet for the day will be in the 7th at Caulfield, MASKED ASSASSIN 10x10 races well fresh and a good draw should see him well postioned on the fence behind the leaders. 120 outlay |

Saturday 5/9/09
Heading interstate for a few days.
Saturday 29th could have been a ripper with a bit more luck. Rubijohn ran third (10x4.60), Whobegotyou 2nd (20x1.70) and Masked Assassin 3rd (10x4.200 with Phelan Ready finishing down the track. Return 122.00 profit 2.00. Bank now 1202. Saturday 5/9 FLYING RUBY 10x10 in Flemington Race 5 finished off really well at return and performs well 2nd up. PREDATORY PRICING 40w in Race 6 looks to, at least have fitness on his side, great performance 1st up.HANDSUPFORDETROIT 20x20 in Randwick Race Race 5. Only a just an effort 1st up but Begg keeps talking this one up and if it doesn't run a place this than we can write it off as a carnival horse. In the last at Randwick ALBERT THE FAT 10x10 on its last performance can take this out. Outlay 120.00 |

Saturday 12/9
Sat 5/9 - Ouch but could be considered a normal result
Loss 120 total loss 118 Bank 1082 MV is not my favourite track but I will be having a flutter on HERE DE ANGELS in R6 10x10, well boxed and will run a great race. SHOCKING 20w is having his 1st run on the track in the last and should go close. Rosehill R2 will see my money go around on GOLDAM 10x10 whilst RACING TO WIN 20x20 in R6 ticks nearly all of the boxes and in R8 RECOUP DE FORTUNE 10x10 should be at his peak at his 4th run back, well drawn. Fingers crossed. |

Saturday 19/9/09
Disappointing last week with only the one collect and that was mainly due to a subperb ride by by Bowman on Racing To Win (4.20/1.90) giving a 2.00 win
Overall loss $116.00 This week I am staying with Caulfield today and will have the 1st bet of the day in Race 5 with 20.00w TRUSTING. A ripper of a run in the Golden Rose in stronger company, can collect the bikkies in this. The extremely promising RAFFAELLO 20x20 in Race 6 looks the pea in Race 6 whilst in Race 7 PREDATORY PRICING 10x10 will improve on his last start performance when he pulled hard and lugged out for a fair bit of the race.DOLLOPS 10x10 in Race 8 could spring a surprise with a solid finish and an improved performance by RED LORD 10x10 in the final event hopefully will cap off a good days punting. BOL to all. |

The punting gods were on my side last week, hope they hang around for today's punt.
Raffaello 3rd (20x1.60=32.00), Predatory Pricer 3rd (10x3.20=32.00), Dollops 3rd (10x4.30=43.00)and Red Lord 1st (10x12.30/3.60=159.00). Profit for the day 146.00 resulting in an overall profit of 30.00. Today I am having a try at Royal Randwick for the investment. First go will be in the 4th in which I fancy the toppy HOTEL CASINO 10x10 with a 3 kg claim and reasonable first up form.In R5 I like SNOW ALERT 10x10, drawn well and is race fit, should get nice cover and may surprise.RACING TO WIN 40w ticks every box in R6. Race 7, VOICE COACH 20w has the form on the board to take this out and in the last I am tipping CHINCHILLA ROSE 10x10 she is capable of springing a surprise 1st up and is at good eachway odds. BOL all and oh, the best bet of the day is Geelong.... goooooooo the Cats. |

Saturday 3/10
A disasterous punting day was last Saturday, total wipe out of the 120.
Overall loss 90.00 Bank 1110.00 What a day it is with Group racing on the eastern seaboard and I will be at Flemington where my first bet of the day will be MISS DARCY 10x10 in R4 who's last run can be forgotten due to the fact that it was knocked rotten during the race.PRAVANA 10x10 in R5 goes very well 1st up and is right in this whilst in R7 PREDATORY PRICER 10x10 will be carrying my money after a good run last start when he over raced, blinkers are off which will help. In R8 sees the return of one of my favourites, ALL SILENT 20x20, drawn well for his style of racing and will be running on fast, Ist up runs are ok without winning. In the last I am going for one at odds, PILLAR OF HERCULES 10x10 who has ability and he may start to show it as a 5yo entire, the fact they have kept him intact indicates to me that stable think he has something to offer. |

Saturday 10/10/09
Nice days work at Flemington thanks to a brilliant ride by Nicholas Hall aboard All Silent.
Miss Darcy 2nd 10 x 2.80, Predatory Pricer 2nd 10 x 2.00 and All Silent 20 x 13.50 and 20 x 4.50 - Total collect 408.00, profit 288.00 O/all profit 198.00 Bank 1398.00 What a day, sunny, 20 deg and a great programme at Caulfield. I will kick off the day with 10x10 on KANZAN in race 3, lightly raced and a nice effort 1st up behind Stryker at R/hill.I am staying with RACING TO WIN 10x10 in race 6, last run was too bad to be true and on his best form would go close. In race 7 I am with SO YOU THINK 20 x 20 and I do think he can win, another lightly raced performer with enormous potential. Bart again in race 8 with DANDAAD, drawn wide but has run 2 useful races since resuming and was unlucky not to have finshed closer last start. In the last I fancy TOOTSIE 10x10,could not get a crack at them last start, 3rd run back should see her go close BOL to all. |

Not too much damaged done last week with just 2 placings, Kanzan 10x3.80 and Tootsie 10x2.50 giving a return 63.00 and a loss of 57.00 showing an overall profit of 147.00 and a total bank of 1347.00.
Caulfield Cup day has arrived with overcast conditions and a dead surface even though we have had a fair bit of rain. My 1st bet of the day will be SNIPER'S BULLET 20x20 in R5,having his 4th start this campaign after a couple of good runs and drawn to win. In R6 I am staying with CHINCHILLA ROSE 10x10, ran on well 1st up at R/hill and has won 2 over the distance. My bet in the Cup is ROMAN EMPEROR 10x10, Bart trained so hoping he can improve on his dismal Turnbull performance, has the right track conditions and just hope it is a true reading.R6 sees a nice field of sprinters going around and I am tipping DIPLOMATIC FORCE 10x10, a 1st up specialist and a winner over the course and distance and can handle dead going. In R8 BOOGALOO 10x10 can win, finishes strongly over the shorter distances and hopefully will finish off a good day. BOL to all those who dare. |
