Default Confused ??

Is there some secret that I don't know about ?? I thought this forum was about sharing ideas and perhaps improving our knowledge so that we could all get better at the punt ? I searched the forum about this subject and found nought, which I thought very strange as from my very limited experience it appears to be a very important part of the puzzle.

Default 4G-5G-6G

In my small data base that i have kept myself, I have found that in open class 4g-5g-6g have won 285 times out of 447 races, 4g=109, 5g=120, 6g=56 [285] , where as 3yo won 17 so I dismiss any 3yo in my selections.

But how many 3yo's were entered in those races, until you know that you cant rule them out, whose to say they dont have a better strike rate than the 6yo's?
