![]() Thanks for the pointer, I have managed to (usually) pull myself out of "IT" over the years, watching for these ones!!!! just watch for a few runs, level stakes!!

![]() i had it over 4 lengths off winning but it is a good horse. i didnt back it on saturday i think it was short odds from memory.
but i have alluded (possibly unduly suspicious) to west aus racing as being a little unpredictable before. i agree i would be watching for a price on it. |

![]() Topsy, can't agree entirely, I think the WA form is pretty well consistent, but where a big problem comes in is form from Belmont being applied to Ascot and visa versa. The 2 courses being totally different, a headwind coming off the river hitting em square on sometimes can throw things. But it doesn't alter the fact that there is some "suspicious" failures, but I say good when you spot em, it's money in the bank!!

![]() Having rated Perth metrop meetings before and after the event for many years can confirm that generally speaking performances are consistent. Always the odd above average performance improvement and below expectation performance.
Had Stormy's Son rated 2nd on Saturday - his actual performance on Saturday without taking into account being “blocked for the length of the straight” as listed in the stewards report, was just a little below best this prep so far, but around 2 lengths below best registered over 1000m at Belmont back in Sep last year. _________________ All the best from the West Sandgroper  [ This Message was edited by: Sandgroper on 2003-05-13 02:11 ] |

![]() generally i get good results from perth.
had suave lady rated top on saturday. very good win. and raced fully to expectations. i worry though i posted before re an adelaide horse that won at regional courses earlier this year the horse is a good horse but the very short priced faves in both races were last around the turn and finished second. co-incidence possibly. |

![]() Lets try Perth race 9 no. 10 Brown Archer, has 2b a very good place bet, but of course a minimum return applies, for me that is $1.50 say 1 minute b4 the off
