If there is a good Bookie out there offering odds that are way out of wack with the norm, why is the Post locked to interested parties? I'm interested [as anyone would be], but why lock the Post to avoid a few reasonable questions if all is on the level [and I'm not suggesting they arn't]?
I don't want to give my phone No. to a salesman until I can ask a few questions first. Is that unreasonable? [ This Message was edited by: crash on 2003-08-22 09:23 ] |

It is company policy that any promotions are locked.
Should you need any clarification about the betting offer you are welcome to contact us. The bookmaker concerned only wants genuine enquiries and that is why he has requested a phone number also be given. |

Crash,
I suspect (although I don't know for sure) that the bookie in question is Rod Cleary. In any case I don't think you have anything to worry about in giving your phone number to the guys here - I have given my phone number to them in relation to the sports betting packages and can assure you that it has not been abused and I have not been subjected to any "hard sell" techniques. They are always friendly and courteous and if you say "no" they wont keep ringing to try to get you to change your mind (unlike some other operators) - I presume that is what you are concerned about.
