I dunno...... i must be getting old and cranky.. But this bloke who charges people $4.40 for a phone call should really change the name of his business to "let me wreck the value for people who have done the hard work"

Lets me make it clear I AM TALKING FROM MY KICK. And i know i will be accused of whinging even after backing a winner.. BUT..
I thought I had found a pretty decent chance of a winner at Ballarat R5 in Youré the Top. I rated it equal fav ($3.60) with the Mayfield-Smith trained Bomber attack. Common sense says that the money should come for the Mayfield - smith horse,, A few minutes prior to the jump Bomber attack was showing $3.50 and Youre the Top $13.. Which one to back? U have to be kidding right? So on goes the hard earned.. I thought a price of about 8's would be nice.. but no by the time the pools finalised, Youre the top paid $4.40. Still a small bit of overs sure.. But do you honestly think that the horse would have started that price without the influence of the $4.40 man.. Oh yeah.. youre the top was his pick..

The $4.40 man is a boon for the bloke who doesn't want to do the hard yards and is an absolute abhorrence to people who put the time in to find the horses that could be real value..

There......... it's off my chest and I've had my spit.

XPT,

No offence but I can't understand people complaining about poor divs when they are betting on the TAB! Close down your TAB account and get yourself an IAS or Sporting bet account - Your The Top paid $5.30 on DiviPlus or $7.00 Top Fluctuation with IAS so anyone who took the $4.40 TAB div is robbing themselves.
