After reading Hermes post it got me a thinking.
Where do the tips come from for the radio tabq selections as they are the same as NSW tab tips. Also the ratings on TABQ, 100 pointers etc.. how do they come up with these numbers as a lot of runners have no form??????? [ This Message was edited by: good 4th on 2003-12-07 02:16 ] |

I have no idea how they generate the Radio Tab tips - could be a bunch of guys drawing numbers from a hat - but I find them very useful. The ratings, I believe, are from AAP and use methods pioneered by the legendary Don Scott (can't remember where I read this). The ratings too are very useful in my opinion.
Here's a use for the Radio Tabs: Refer to Bhagwan's four-horse selection system in this forum. The one where you pair the horses 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and success depends on eliminating one of each pair. I've scored some great results with that system but add to it the following rule: *Only those races where the three Radio Tab tips are all numbered 1 to 8. That is, where the Radio Tab sees all the talent in the 1 to 8 band. If the Radio Tab is 1,6,11 or similar = pass the race. This tightens up Bhagwan's system considerably. Hermes |

Hi Herhes ,
Thats an interesting observation of yours . It does seem to make it work stronger ,doing it that way. That 4 horse plan can be a lot of fun on a good day especially when the Favs dont knock you off all day. Some of the prices it jags can be amazing.

The 'RadioTab Tips' that you see on the UNiTAB website are simply just the tips of all their racecallers. On most occasions they will be exactly the same as the tips on the NSW Tab. However, Radiotab and 2KY do employ different racecallers for Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide, so there will be differences then.
On the UNiTAB website they also list the selections of their specialist tipsters like John Holloway, Ray Hickson, Brendan Cormick and Shane Templeton. Anyone following Shane Templeton last Saturday would have done pretty well because he tipped 7 winners and a 2nd from eight races in Melbourne!!! Try the reverse....
Leave out the tipsters top three and back something else firm in the market. Might be where the value lies. |

Hi Guys,
In regard to most tipsters, they couldn't pick their nose and thats with everything they have available to them. YOU MENTIONED THE BEST VALUE TIPSTER IN AUST . SHANE TEMPLETON BY A MILE. What have done with his selections is only pick the horses who are paying $ 5 on midweek or $ 6 sat. Backed No Bull today at Sand ,paid $11, how many other tipsterd do that regularly. |
