I dont have a Data base at the click of a button. Was wondering if someone did could you run this idea.
1. HCP Races only 2. Placed last two starts 3. Three runs from last spell (AT LEAST 3 runs from a spell ) 4. Must have C,or D for form 8. Total Win percentage to exceed 20% 6. Total this win distance to exceed 20% 7. If more than one selection Pick highest win % 8. Rating to be between 90-100 9. Not less than 1100 mtrs And the ratings are from, http://www.tabonline.com.au So example; Total Number of runs. 26 Total Number of wins. 6 Win, Places =9 6/26 =0.23 *100 = 23% Think thats it. Well, it could be a good idea, but as I don't have a database, I can't really help you out. By the way, I don't quite understand rule 3 the way you've worded it. Do you mean the horse should have had at least 3 starts since a spell? Also, I'm not sure about the ratings. Are they Unitab ratings?

People here with databases have no idea of whose ratings you are referring to. Most form stats. add wins as a place when working out place % so win + place is a little confusing. Place % only is usually the most meaningful stat. Cheers. |

Sorry. Rule three should read ( Three runs since a spell, I will change it thanks for that.
And the ratings are from, http://www.tabonline.com.au Good luck today Gd4th |

Yeah ive gotta explain myself a bit better.
The % is the Win & place added up together divided by the number of total runs, seems to work so i'll stick with it. So example; Total Number of runs. 26 Total Number of wins. 4 Total Number of places. 5 Win, Places =9 9/26 =0.346 *100 = 34.6% Simple idea has some good days???? |

I'm sorry good 4TH, but do you mean EXACTLY 3 runs from a spell or AT LEAST 3 runs from a spell? There's a difference.
By the way, in the example you use, I take it you actually mean 4 wins and 5 minor placings. Personally, I always count wins as being placings anyway, so I would simply say that the horse must have a place strike rate of more than 30%. [ This Message was edited by: sportznut on 2004-02-19 09:55 ] |

Can do it that way i spose but i use it's Wins plus it's 2nd and 3rd placings. AT LEAST 3 runs from a spell, Placings, just take 2nd or 3rd, but then If it wins it also places mmmmmmm. Just use 2nd and 3rd Example: Starts - Wins - 2nd's- 3rd's 26:- 4 2 3 [ This Message was edited by: good 4th on 2004-02-19 12:40 ] [ This Message was edited by: good 4th on 2004-02-19 12:44 ] |
