A VERY SIMPLE HORSE RACING SYSTEM

This system is based on racing tipsters and a race can be worked out quickly, although it does return short prices favourites, anyway winners are grinner.

1. Use a good Racing paper with good tipsters.
2. Only races with 8 or less runners,
3. Prize money for 1st place $50 000 or under
4. The distance is not under 1200m.

For each race that meets the above criteria, look in the tipster’s Selection Box and count the number of times they have tipped the favourite horse in the race.

Your tip for that race is the horse that has the highest number of picks by the tipsters

Said it was simple, but you will be surprised at the number of winners!

Okay, I'm just a little bit confused.

Do we back the horse with the most picks, or do we only back it if it's the favourite???

Also, are you only talking about first tips or do 2nd and 3rd tips count as well???

I use to follow a similar pattern to that , but only backed a horse if it was picked once for 2nd and once for 3rd out of all the tipsters, used to get some really good priced winners. Don't know why i stopped doing it?

I think that rule number one is the initial stumbling block ...

Where do we find "good tipsters"?

There used to be a racing journo (no names) who would never put his top pick into first place in the paper, he put what he considered to be the crowd favourite.

His real selection was put into second or third place, perhaps this is why these systems work so well (with a couple of simple rules applied).

In Sydney for a Saturday meet. To choose a qualifier go to Friday’s "The N/C Herald" And from the Winning Form The best Form section pick the horse that is tipped four times in the tipster’s poll. It doesn’t matter if it is picked for first second or third place, as longer as it is picked four times. From there I pick the race that fits the other 1 2 3 steps mentioned.

I'm not sticking up for newspaper tipsters but they are suppose to be experts or they would not be employed would they?

This is fun and I am glad I joined I will have my tips for saturday soon.

Tatouche,

There is a weeks grace for late entries into the comp. So if you get in this week, you wont be penalized $50.

Newspaper tipsters are often seen in a poor light, but considering the amount of tipping they have to do, they ain't so bad !!

Cheers.
