i am not sure if i am right with this new rating system in melb soon to be in SYD

rating weight carried weight allocated
#2 110 55.5 55
#3 114 55 57
#9 114 52.5 57
i applied it to the first three placegetters R6 in MELB (picked at random)does this mean that #3 horse had 2.5 kg advantage over #2 horse, and horse #9 carried 4.5kg under it's rating on the new scale the new rating scale was in the sportsman this weekend (is this for benefit of punters or just for trainers
