Maybe Maclaren is an out and out 1000m specialist, raced 7 times for five wins and 2 seconds. Would prefer down straight but has form around a turn. Last start second to gladiada was a huge run when on wrong side of the track. It was first Gladiada second maybe maclaren then every other horse on gladiada's side crossed the line before the second horse on maybe maclaren's side did. Meets Gladiada 3kg better for that run. Runs into some handy sprinters in Halibery and Super Elegant who are both proved at group level but also both first up. I don't know if Maybe Maclaren is group class but she is fit and should give punters a great eachway sight at 12/1.

Both my sets of ratings (Speed/Sectional Times) have Azevedo clearly on top. At $18.00 it seems an each-way bet to nothing.
I have the greatest respect for Super Elegant (and it's jockey) but I think it's vulnerable first-up over 1000m.
