not surprised at the poor field.
sydney racing is on the skids.
last week heard ian craig saying that if it wasnt for the horses from taree they wouldnt be holding races.

still its not cluttering up sky channel anymore.

The funny part is, as sure as night follows day, the NSW horses will win more than their share at the Melbourne Spring Carnival again, as they have done for the past umpteen seasons.

Top level horses in NSW strong, depth non existant.

Top level horses in Vic, count on one hand. Depth of Saturday class horses strong.

i think the b ig stables have their top level horses roaming the nation taking on all the big races leaving the rest to plod around sydney during the week and on weekends.
i did a quick survey recently and found that most group ones and twos are won by sydney horses nationally.
but boy is midweek and saturday a let down in sydney.

Well my pick by a country mile would be spark of life. Cant imagine anyone tipping against that horse with its fresh record.Or has it only three legs????? Would still win i think anyway just my opinion.
