in view of the moderator concerns regarding comments on the forum and i respect his wishes and position. all i can say is I am not surprised. i am surpised that queensland is the only place. |

Front page of todays Sunday Mail. A certain head of a certain "Bookmaking" firm, and I use the term lightly, is going to no longer take bets on Brisbane races.
WHAT A SOOK !!! A quick snap shot of the 3 main racing centres, reveals that in the last 6 weeks, Brisbane has by far the lowest winning % of favourites and of course by far the highest % bet per race. |

strange that isnt it.
i was in bendigo a couple of weeks ago and our discussion focused on the number of very short priced favorites that finished out of a place recently. not just getting beat but finishing out of a place. brisbane was mentioned. may be co-incidence of course. |

must admit that i havent been particularly affected.
but my concerns as usual likely through lack of knowledge but a lot of fancied horses recently in brisbane have settled at the rear of the fields. so much that they are unlikely to reach the front horses with a slingshot. but i watched aker bilk win at moe on thursday and i guess the jocks were wondering what he was doing as well exasperating game isnt it. wonderful win by elvstroem though good to see a champion deliver and well ridden. broke their hearts. |

The aforementioned clown had the hide to appear on the "news" tonight. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but don't real bookies win when odds on favourites get beaten, or am I doing something wrong. Of course it can all be blamed on the exchanges.
