Hello gentlemen - I've been a lurker here for a number of weeks now and thought I would finally take the plunge and begin contributing. I don't claim to be a big time punter, just a battler trying to earn a few extra bucks on the side.

I read with interest the NBL thread where a few of you bombed out, and I can assure you all that you were not alone!! I lost big time on the 36ers vs Kings - I thought Adelaide were morals with the +6.5. They were actually backed in from $1.85 into $1.70ish with SportsTAB. How bad was their D though?? Lots of flashy high scoring players, but they are lazy as all shyte when it comes to playing defence. I will be backing the OVERS when it comes to their games from now on I think!

Wollongong losing to the Hunter was crippling. I learnt though that the Pirates are not as bad as people think, particularly at home. One cannot underestimate the ex-Kings factor of having Kavossy and Melmeth on their roster who are accustomed to a winning culture. They took care of Brisbane the week before too which cost me!

The Bullets have cost me big time this season with their erratic form, but I am going to stick with them. If there is any consolation to their poor start it is that you are getting good prices for them (I won quite handsomely when the beat the Kings a fortnight ago). They will repay me eventually I believe. The cream will rise to the top.

Overall the competition is very even, the difference between the high flyers and the also rans is not as large this season.

Anyway enough of the past, I will put my ballz on the line with my best NBL bets of the weekend.

Adelaide v West Sydney OVER 201.5 @ $1.85
Bris over NZ @ $1.58
Hunter (+10.5) over Townsville @ $1.85

Good luck and happy punting.

Welcome Pumpa, its always good getting more people on board.

Last week had some bad results for some punters , I think they increased there bet size to some extent which rubbed salt in the wound. I dont wish to re open the wound but i was untouched, like i said before i have been waiting in the shadows for the past 2 weeks. My 2003 stats are now organised, last season looked as if it could of been very good for punters. I now need to get 2004 up to date and look for similar situations.

Kings $1.20 vs Wildcats $4.60 Wow! thats a massive price for the wildcats and the line is +9.

Tigers $1.40 vs Taipans $3.00

Razorbacks $1.35 Wildcats $3.22 Both teams back up.

I know I said I wouldn't contribute to NBL any more but there is absolutely no chance Wildcats can beat Sydney. That is all.

thank you.
