On Friday last week I was hit with a cold-call from an organisation marketing a betting system and associated software that monitors late bet placements on the TAB. (Costs $10,600) They claim professional punters wait until a few minutes before a race starts to place bets. They further claim having quick access to this late bet placement information means you have access to inside information only known by those professional punters and you can utilise that information to punt successfully. Any comments would be appreciated.

Seems excessive when betfair displays amounts.I heard of a similar package once, perhaps ...., but quite often big bets go on by people who have too much money to bet on their own horses.

The TAB money I.E. plunges is usually set up by the smarties ( the ones ones that really make the money ) to throw you OFF the horse that THEY are backing.

Always Remember this.

There are betting sites in this world that pay on final div nsw tab, so you don't have to be a genius to understand what go's on in this game.

Dead set My finger's are going to be 1 inch long if I have to keep repeating this.

Following shorteners with a tool costing $10,000+ is rediculous.

Often bookies layoff on the TAB to try & balance their book, not neccerally the fact that it will win but to reduce their exposure to risk.

If you want to follow shorteners ,just go to the Victorian TAB which shows the price movements at 15 min. & inwards, on the Teletext No.561
This service will cost you nothing.

I have a tool that cost $275 & it does the same thing, it was advertised on this sight some months ago,it can either track the horses which had the largest single bets or basic market shorteners or blowers it can also dutch bet the selections & lay the bets to your internet TAB betting A/C

Like so many other strateregies ,some days it work & some days it wont.

Here is a tip ,if one likes the idea of chasing shorteners ,follow the top 2 chances in each race & back the one that has come in the least in price ,not the most.

I would like to thank all who have replied to my posting and given advice and/or made suggestions. The mob flogging this program are going to ring me tomorrow and what I do with organisations who cold call me in the first instance is string them along, get all there details or as much as I can, ask them would they like me to evaluate what they're offering, if they say yes, I go ahead and do it, then I send them a bill for my time @$250 per hour and place the account with a merchantile agency for collection.

$250 per hour sounds a bit excessive.
Maybe it would be in all parties interests to perhaps lower your fee somewhat.

I'm thinking along the same lines as them when it comes to fee's for services rendered.
They called up today to step me through an online demo but there was some trouble accessing their website so it's been put off until next week.
I know this is a ******** and I'm just going to play along with them for a bit of fun.
I want to wind them up a bit at the same time, so if any of you have got any questions you think I should put to them please let me know. I will post the answers I get here after the so called demo.
