Short priced greyhound favs in NTD races
I would be interested in opinions on the practice of backing short priced favs in dog races for a place when there is NTD. I have noticed that short priced favs will quite often pay reverse odds when there is NTD, eg 1.20 win 1.30 place, and you give yourself twice the chance for a collect.
i believe for it to be a success, you need to back with an agency that matches tote odds, that way your $$$ aren't in pool. |

no doubt about that.
i just think its interesting watching odds monitors and seeing dogs come up at 1.10/1.00 and at last couple of minutes pub tab punters back the other dogs for a place and push divvie up to a 1.20/1.30 which in most cases is pretty good value in real terms. but also there is the problem of dogs not running a place and only paying 1.00 anyway... you cant win but you can lose!!! |
