Default Bleeders

In today's Courier Mail, the comment for Kembla Grange on King's Touch, Race 6 No. 4 is " Bleeders should always be treated with caution first-up". Have never seen this before - any comments?

It's different. I'll give marks for originality.

What stats has the writer got to show that bleeders bleed again first up? Or as a group perform any worse first up than non bleeders do first up? My bet is none.

Neil, I suspect that the comment was made in a similar manner to those made abour horses coming back from an injury (which I is really one and the same), that is until you've seen 'em race again you just don't know if they've recovered to the level of performance previously shown.
