Default Friday Racing Selections - 14 in total

Racing information for 29 April 2005
12.15PM AEST - Tamworth R1 No7 Al Ward - 1.0% Win - Decided to lean towards the 1st starter Al Ward in this 2yo maiden who on exposed trial form looks the one to beat here. Basically a race with two other seen chances on paper but Al Ward is likely to secure the best run in transit of the 3 and comes from a very smart yard. Time in trial win stands up and those it beat do look better class opposition that the other trial winners beat that are also eengaged here. With Ryan jumping on Offshore Account and Robinson on Sutton Rarju the value will be created about our charge who is well bred by Canny Lad to love this 1000m trip.

1.00PM AEST - Cranbourne R2 No3 Blueberry Fields - 1.5% Win - Went the way of the well bred Zabeel 3yo filly Blueberry Fields in this 1200m 3yo fillies maiden. Comes into this race having 4th career start on back of last start 1.1 length 3rd to Honourable with smart type Mystikos in 2nd. Another 2.8 lengths back to 4th that day and big margins through the rest of the field indicate the overall high level of depth in the performance. Perfectly drawn in the 1 alley to secure the run of the race right behind the leaders and from there will prove hard to run down in the stretch.

1.25PM AEST - Tamworth R3 No1 Sutton King - 2.5% Win - Decided to lean towards the inform and proven in this class Sutton King. Still relatively lightly raced coming into this off a career mark of 10-4-1-3 and is a winner 3 of last 4 inc 3 and 4 back over shorter trips by good margins indicating depth then franked that form winning again last start over 1400m Scone class 4 defeating Mirimba Bay and Critical Time 0.4*2.3l with good margins back through the smallish but classy field. Gets topweight here and is likely to go back under an even tempo and will have to get home over the top of Victory Charm who has a weight pull and will get a good run on pace but Sutton King over 1600m will show its class and prevail as it did last start.

1.35PM AEST - Cranbourne R3 No5 Usage - 1.0% Win - This shapes as a good betting race on paper with plenty of live seen chances on form. Decided to lean towards the 1st starter though from the Rogerson yard who comes into this with a barrier trial 3rd over 1000m beaten 1.1 lengths by Cuvee Kiss. Had 3 trials in 2004 finishing 1st, 3rd and 3rd. Well educated, well bred by Octagonal, in the right stable with Rogerson and should get a likely good run in transit midfield or slightly better. From there on trial form can close off with superior late race sectionals and break maiden status at 1st career start.

1.42PM AEST - Rockhampton R3 No1 King Hunter - 3.5% Win - This could shape as the biggest certainty of the day on exposed form lines. Went with King Hunter in this 1300m 2yo handicap and go on big win 2 back this track by 3 lengths over Evading and Rapid Ruby with further big margins back through the field defeating smart types indicating the overall depth of the performance. Well bred by now deceased sire son of Danehill, Lion Hunter. The only real query is being laboured with 60.5kgs over 1300m but this is a small field and is likely to secure a good run on pace under a even tempo allowing to close off with superior speed to these unleashing best late race pars to hold sway down to the wire.

2.00PM AEST - Tamworth R4 No10 With A Chance - 1.5% Win - Hard to dismiss the chances of the lightly raced and well bred 2nd starter With A Chance in this 1200m sprint. By Commands (topline sprinting son of Danehill) and at only career start showed forwardness by finishing 2nd 1000m Quirindi maiden beaten 1.5 lengths by Gold Buckle. Freedtflynstone 3rd that day won next start franking form out of the race. Bound to be improved for the effort and step to 1200m will suit. The big query runner is Miracle Fred but With A Chance has more upside and with good gate speed can go forward for a good run on pace and prove hard to hold out in the stretch.

2.35PM AEST - Tamworth R5 No2 Idle Snip - 1.0% Win - Decided to lean towards another 1st starter here Idle Snip who was a trial winner in preperation for this over Finniganjones who is a well performed Class 3 horse and Bella Machina who has won 3 from 8 and is by Red Ransom. Strong trial form for this maiden affair. Well bred by Snippets and should go forward from the good alley and secure a good run on pace behind the leaders. Should close off from there and prove hard to hold out on trial performance.

2.52PM AEST - Rockhampton R5 No1 Sierra Slammer - 1.5% Win - Decided to lean towards the well bred Sierra Slammer in this 1000m Class 3 sprint. Comes into this event in career best form and go on big win 3 back this track and distance when kicked away beating General Interest and Startacus by 2.5 lengths with further good margins back through the field indicating the overall depth of the performance. Last two starts has finished 2nd including last start beaten 0.3 lengths by Tuscan Illussion and was unlucky not to win that day over the 1050m. Totally suited here back over 1000m and should secure a god run in transit on pace under an even tempo and then sprint too quickly in the stretch to hold sway in the run to the wire.

3.10PM AEST - Tamworth R6 No2 Sir Winalot - 3.0% Win - Very hard to dismiss the chances of Sir Winalot in this 1400m Open handicap. Gets in well weighted with only 58kgs against this lot on current form and go on big win last start this track over 1200m Open handicap defeating Carnegie Rhythm and Satiun Express by 2.3l in a very good display. Step to 1400m will suit here after securing a good run on pace from the perfect 1 alley. The only real minor query was Zedavain but at the weights and under the conditions Sir Winalot does look to have it's measure and shapes as the biggest certainty of the day so far.

3.20PM AEST - Cranbourne R6 No7 Message Bank - 1.5% Win - Hard to dismiss the chances of the lightly raced Message Bank here. Comes into this off a career mark of 5-3-0-0 and is well bred by lightly tried North american sire All Chatter who is a son of Phone Trick, the sire of Favorite Trick and is also a Group 2 winner on turf in The USA. Forget last start 4.6l 6th of 11 Geelong 1412m Class 3 and go on big win 3 back Ballarat 1200m Class 1 when trated a good field with contempt to win by 4 lengths over Snipify and Holmesa who have both since franked the form. 2 back franked the form itself making it two on end with a 2 length Class 3 win over Jalabert and Kirriseki. Well weighted, closes off races well and should get a good run in transit. Makes it hard to beat and definitely worth backing here.

4.00PM AEST - Cranbourne R7 No2 Mr Big - 1.5% Win - On paper this looks a a race in 2 to the naked eye between Dawsons Road and Mr Big and hopefully this will create a good value factor about Mr Big with Dawson's Road being overbet. Decided to lean towards Mr Big who is lightly raced winning 2 of last 3 career starts including last start Yarra Glen 1950m Class 1 over smart Redoute's Choice youngster Mint Royal. Will apreciate the step to 2025m and likely to get the run of the race under a slow tempo on pace. The query is likely to come from Isle Of Kriska who has weight lines to suggest on wins last preperation is well weighted here today and can figure at odds but needs to improve on last 2 starts. Mr Big is in form, is well placed and is likely to get the run of the race which should be enough to get it home.

4.30PM AEST - Tamworth R8 No2 Irish Loup - 2.0% Win - Irish Loup shapes as one of the bigger certainties of the day in this 1200m Class 6 sprint and is well worth waiting for. Last start went to town and finished 2.7l 4th of 7 against stronger over 1200m. Two starts back ran sensational time winning over 1000m at Dubbo in Class 6 company and that franked form of big win 3 back also running sensational time over 950m when 1st up at Dubbo aswell. By good sire Loup Savage and is well drawn to get a good run over the suitable 1200m trip. The query is Ettaleo who beat Aszraq and Chester County last start but he may have been flattered by the pace and margin of the win. Irish Loup proven and well placed to atone for last start defeat here today.

4.40PM AEST - Cranbourne R8 No2 Ancient Urge - 2.0% Win - Very hard to dismiss the chances of Ancient urge who is 2nd up from a spell here. 1st up was over unsuitable 1200m trip and finished 3.1l 6th to Sir Clement. Go back 5 runs to big win over 1400m Ballarat Class 1 by 4 lengths over Honest Polly with big margins back through the field. Led that day and got headed before kicking away to win with ease. Franked that big win 2 back before spelling winning again M Valley 1600m R1mw3yo, forget 2 runs inbetween. Likely to get the run of the race from the 1 alley and with a superior turn of foot after a good trip at a even to solid tempo will close off better than these and win. The query will come from Otto Mezzmer who is a wet tracker but 1st up may lack the fitness required to see this out. Ancient Urge very good value winning chance considering high confidence level in this field.

4.50PM AEST - Rockhampton R8 No8 Man Of Illusion - 2.5% Win - Hatd to go past the chances of the lightly raced improver and werll bred Man Of Illusion here. Very well bred by Encosta De Lago and is 3rd up nowe for leading mentior John Wigginton. Won only two start this area including last start 1200m Rocky Class 1 by 4.8 lengths over crossing and Mr Amore. Form references through Fourjacks and Crossing suggests Man Of Illusion still holds a 1 length advantage over Kai Cibo the big query runner and also has a fitness edge. 1200m will`definitely suit and should secure one of the better runs in the race proving hard to hold out.
