Default mug's money

a query to forum members......do you think more mug's money is bet on saturdays or weekdays???

by mugs money i mean those people who bet small and mainly for fun, like the little old ladies who bet on jockeys or trainers or people who follow numbers or the guys in the pub who bet with their mates over a few drinks??

might explain why favourites seem to be overbet on the tote on saturdays.

Hi Noel,

Id recon saturday AND sunday,

Most people out here are tradies and they cant get a bet on during the week, i see them all (as i described a in another post) at the pub sundays (dont go there often sat)when im up there having a quiet one, the old mates corner, ten or fifteen of them all going the fav for a win, stand outs on tris and quinellas, all read the daily telegraph or go straight 100 pointers for the printed out TAB guide pinned neatly on the cork board, no staking plans, no money management, deffinatally no bank to be carefull of (the old ATM sits just arround the corner and that old girl cops a flogging from them i can assure you). Seen one put three hundred on the win on a 1.9 fav last sunday,.......you know what happened !

I recon your right.

Cheers Dingoboy

Mathematically uneducated money (mug )is bet every day of the week .
Thats why only 1 % of punters win each year.
Cheers.

Hey!! Enough with dissing the mugs. Encouragement is what they need, pat them on the back when they have their occasional success. If we were all smart punters winning would be that much harder.

Smile A ROGER DEDMAN QUOTE.

In his book " COMMONSENSE PUNTING " he says

"Its not the amount of winners you get BUT the price you get about those winners."

Very apt I think.
Cheers.
