Default Greyhound Betting v Gallops/Trots

What do others think?

My opinion only but as far as earning a decent living pro punting on the three race codes I am of the opinion that dogs are by far the easiest to do form.

Over the years I have dabbled in horses, trots and dogs and I can honestly say the dogs win hands down for me. Gallopers/Pacers/Trotters have a jockey/driver on board and this in itself creates a big variable. Dogs have no jockey.
Horse races are varying in speed and I mean early speed, mid-race speed and finishing speed.
Greyhounds go flat out from the start to finish. No pace of the race to worry about. Only eight runners maximum meaning higher strike rates and "risk of ruin" is low if a sensible level stake wager is employed in relation to the working capital.
Personally I use 3% of the working bank per race.
Overall the variables are far less in dogs. To do the form for a ten race dog meeting would take me approximately 5 hours. To do the same thorough form on horses would take three times as long and you also have the problem of lining up "classes" especially with interstate visitors.

I often hear people complaining about a dog they backed getting wiped out at the first turn. These people generally haven't done the form properly. The sh''t factor does happen but if you have done the form properly you can avoid the trouble on the first turn a lot of the time.
