Race 1
Backed Unite n Prosper and Twanged last start and dont see any reason to jump off them..Unite will get a good trail behind renouf and carolinas Boy..and never runs a bad race..this is a tougher assignment but will give a good sight..Twanged flew home last start and will get the tempo again to suit..
Will back both..been lucky in the first of late so fingers crossed.
Race 2
Real open race...I'm going for a couple of outsiders here...Tycoon Rose and Kanes Crossing...both drawn well..i can see Kanes leading and if he dictates can run a huge race..Tycoon Rose has been good her last few starts and the form around Countess Bathory and Kas Nedyim has been proven..
I like her alot and if we have a bit if rain it helps..
Gilded Youth is one i've been following but the weight doesnt help her.
Race 3
Really Really like Deuxieme here...has everything to suit here...gets a weight pull off Spirit of tara who i think is the danger..
Terrace is in this aswell,,planagram should set a good pace for him..
Think the toppy is the best bet of the day.
Race 4
Everyone seems to be dropping off Street Smart...wont be anywhere near the 13's in the paper but is right in this..great run last start..
like him alot..
dangers are Greccolo, Timeless Miss,Duelled and Cool Scene and Upilio..
but Seamer will get street smart home..
Race 5
Takeover Target looks like a good thing here...solid run in the Straddie..this is the race for him...should take the trail behind Mitanni just outside Sir Breaky and then run him down..wouldnt take the 2.50 on offer but if he gets to $4 ,,maybe ..
thought Youthfull would be a good e/w ..
Race 6
If you take the toppy out of this race its way open....but after the straddie run how do you ignore her...she does have more weight and the distance is maybe a queery ..but the way she finished last start you'd think an extra 100m wont make a difference..
Dont see much speed in this race....i'm hoping Pentelikon from a outside barrier will come across and be very prominent..She was ridden poorly last start but colless knows this track and hopefully slot her in somewhere..
Royal mask from the inside is a huge chance here..great run last start and will be closer this time..
Zinzin,Fluffy and Tui Song , Charmview are in this as well,,
So i've narrowed it down to 7...might just box them and save the headache
will have something on Royal Mask and Pentelikon...i think ???
Race 7
Motivate looks good here...great run last start and always fires this time of year..thought Maizy May at a million to 1 will give good cheek out in front..
nice e/w...box them with Forest and Just Polite and Crimson Gown.
Race 8
Like Admiral Spy here...suited by the track and distance..,,,great run last start and the form is good from that run aswell....Glorious Lady will be running on late and worth have something on aswell..

Race 2. Thought Jeteye might be a chance to upset the hotpot Malcom..has a weight pull and the extra distance suits.....nice e/w if he gets to double figures....risky i know but hey Malcom isnt proven yet..
Race 6. Blue Lyric...getting to a distance that suits and in a race of questionable class has an outside chance here should be 30's nice e/w
Race 7. I like the Brissie horses coming down to knock off the blues..Silk n Money has a bit of class and from a good barrier could upset radio Song..
would want decent odds.

Race 1:

Really like Twanged here, liked the 1st up run behind Allegro Spiritoso and always runs a good race 2nd up, good barrier and Seamer on board. Carolina's Boy is the obvious danger, query about the big weight increase plus the 1200m but couldn't find anything to beat him besides Twanged. Speedie Gonzales and Prophet Jewel could add value to the tri.

Race 2:

Atriums has a decent 1st up record, narrowly beaten by Lachlan River 1st up last time in with 56kg, barrier 2 and 51.5kg over 1400m at Eagle Farm looks ideal. Gilded Youth led them up last start and battled on well behind Spirit Of Tara only beaten 2.5, should get a good trail from barrier 5. Rue The Saint has a massive impost but ran a great race over 1000m at Toowoomba 1st up with similar weight. Maybe Prince Of Ashes and Casual Chick could run decent races at good odds.

Race 3:

Really really like Dezigna, ran a superb race last start behind Spirit Of Tara, should get the run of the race and pace should suit. Enthusiast ran a decent race in the Straddie i thought, should lead and just get run down by Dezigna. Spirit Of Tara and Deuxieme will be running on as usual.

Race 4:

Hard race here, gone for Amarazetti but with no real confidence, has good Melbourne form, unlucky at Ipswich. Upilio, Grecolo, Bold Reason, Duelled and Timeless Miss good chances here as well.

Staying out of this race.

Race 5:

Takeover Target is a deadset special here, might not appear it on paper but ran a super race in the Straddie, before that just beaten in the 10,000, easily has the class over these. If there is to be an upset maybe Sir Breakfast and Mitanni, but can't see it happening.

Race 6:

Have liked Charmview for quite some time but always ran good races without winning, have a feeling she is a better horse this prep and winning this would prove it, which i think she can, from barrier 2 shouldn't get as far back as usual and with a decent speed should fly past them. Tui Song and Perfect Promise are the obvious dangers and think Royal Mask will run a good race as well.

Race 7:

Motivate looks primed to win this and avenge his loss to Forest Jim in the Ipswich Cup, has improved steadily every run this prep and loves Eagle Farm. Forest Jim will be hard to hold out again, but was flattered last start by the pace and a great ride by Pattillo. Can't overlook Just Polite, won the G3 Kingston Town at Rosehill last prep which is great condentials for his race. Sky Love and Desert Flight as the roughies.

Race 8:

Encierro looks hard to beat here, very consistent, great run last start behind Daunting Lad over same track and distance, can't see anything else beating him from barrier 1. Thee Auld Hussie ran a good race but Encierro looked to have her measure last start, Glorious Lady and Sir Woody could be running home if the race is run to suit.

Sydney Race 2:

Malcolm should win Mav but if there is an upset wouldnt be surprised if it comes from Port Headland at HUGE odds.

I worry about Charmview from the barrier,,she doesnt start well and might get back ,,inside and in a big field.,,she'll need luck...but she is flying..

Seems we both like Takeover Target...theres a big tip around for Mitani so we might get the 4's ..but hoping i think ..

Malcom did a few things wrong last start...still learning and he if he's just off his game he'll get nailed....i'm not totally convinced about him yet ...might be a bit later on though..

Tough day today ..last year there were alot of upsets..so im hoping i jag atleast one of them..

Twanged came home well but was no match for Renouf...a horse i was on a couple of starts ago...thought at EF they'd catch him but when he gets the lead hes a real bulldog..
UNP was just not up to this class..
Its hard to take when you lose a race ..after a horse you've been on beats you..
Race 2
Tycoon Rose at 60's was hugely unlucky here ..had no luck at all in the straight....Kanes Crossing didnt get the lead so no chance at all..
Trifecta helped but still a loss on this race.
She was right in this race and might be running out of chances to jag a city race..
Race 3.
Had a Big go Deuxieme ..but was never in it...the 3yo's fought it out..
Race 4.
Had a go at Street Smart here ,,nice e/w result but when he loomed up i thought i had the win....
Acceleration knocked me out of the 1st 4 and tri.
Race 5
No bet here,,,and thank god....who picked this ??
Race 6
E/w's on Pentelikon and Royal Mask ...had a big go at trifecta's and 1st4's
got 1/2 the tri ..the 1st4 would of been real nice though..had villabled but put Charmview down onto the 2nd line in the 1st4.....
a loss on this race.
Race 7.
Motivator ran on but thought he had his chance...dissapointing result..
Race 8
Thank God for Admiral Spy...nice tri aswell...
good result this and thank the lord..

finished ahead in Brissie..by alittle ..but on a day like this i think i'll take the money and run..

wow just watched a 120/1 shot win at Toowoomba....its been one of those days..

Well Done Testa with Charmview...i really like her too but thought from the inside it would be hard for her.but she got the splits she needed...hope you killed them..
