Eagle Farm Monday
Hi guys looks a good day of racing tomorrow..hopefully Sven and i can keep up the good work from Saturday ..
Race 1. Not an easy race to start off with..alot of horses in this race could win without surprising.. I liked Dr Dujon's run the other day..looked full of running and the extra distance suits as does the big straight..he really needed time to balance up last start but when he did he finished strong should get a good run from the alley.he didnt run much time last start but none of the others have impressive times either......should get real good e/w odds The top 2 the likely dangers.. Race 2 How impressive was Initials last start...was flying at the end and never got a fair crack at them...gets back usually but has the good barrier so Seamer should take advantage of this and ride more prominent..kemp has found the trick to this horse as its grown an extra leg from last prep.. Another in this race Hello Possums is a horse i have alot of time for..gets to a more suitable distance and is fitter for recent racing,,forget his last run as he was wide the whole way and eased out of it..doesnt win enough for me to be totally confident but still worth a look in this field.. doesnt seem like theres alot of speed in this race so i'm looking for a horse that has a good last sprint as i dont think anyone will be trying to dictate the race up front.. Initials and maybe Hello Possums fit the bill.. Race 3. Not keen in these races...but thought Johnny from the inside would be hard to beat..one i'll be looking at is Grand Reve who trialled well behind a real smart one...and i dont mind the breeding of Tricory (wallace and Cahill a plus). will see how these youngters look and whos riding them.. Race 4. they'll be scorching the turf in this one...Celestane, Rock on Bye and Dulacca all wanting the lead.. I thought Daimyo could sit just off them and run them down...promising horse this one. but i wouldnt be taking anything to short.. interesting runner is Rashini who i thought is suited this distance,,,dont know why they persisted over the longer...i wouldn't be surprised at all to see some improvement..also Startled Hunter ran a cracker behind Top Gun Lane last prep and 1st up after trialling ok could surprise.. might be a good race for the tris.but Daimyo will give a good honest run.. Race 5. Suubird should get the good run and that should be the difference as theres alot here that are equal on ability.. Suubird i think is suited this distance and runs well fresh...always races prominent and in this even field thats always a plus as i think they'll be getting in each others road down the straight .. Cahill the top jock around with Colless and Bryne absent.. Fond Kiss in this field from the back will be flying late..looks the obvious danger but the barrier scares me alittle.... will be looking at these 2 Race 6. Prosecution is going real well...had no right to be so close last start after racing so wide....shouldn't have the same problem in this field with no natural leaders...Prosecution should take that option and in this field should be to hard to run down.. Star of St Covet continues to surprise me with some very handy races and High Academy is in good form as well.. Race 7. Another tuff race..thought Perette could run well ..likes the track and distance and has the nice barrier..Ricey knows the horse well now and wont make the same mistake as last time where he got in to much traffic and the 1200m was to short anyway.... needs to get this horse some room and he'll finish to strong for them.. Race 8. A good race for Power Express...gets his big chance in this ordianary field ..should get the good run and will be finishing hard...has shown some ability this horse and should be beating these.. Ashbury the next best.. actually like a few tomorrow..thought Prosecution , Initials, Perette and Power Express the best.... feeling good tomorrow and am going fairly heavy ....looks as if its my biggest outlay ever ..depending on track conditions , scratchings and the odds i get.. Good luck all |

Mav,
Great odds about Bazelle in NZ!!! I suppose you're going to tell us you had the trifecta!!! The race is the ZABEEL classic and there were just two horses in the race sired by Zabeel and they've run 1-2 at BIG odds!!! Oh so easy AFTER the event! |
