Default Eagle Farm Discussions

Race 1.
Good speed in this race...this will suit Blue Oyster i liked his last 2 runs and from a good barrier he doesnt need to be as far back,,..Unbound the danger after a good last start win..
Amused won well last start but had all the breaks...Umaprince will be hassled by Kanes Crossing ..hopefully these 2 set it up for the Oyster
Race 2.
Emit time just looks way to good..i didnt mind Bridie Bows last run ..might have a exacta or something because Emit time will be odds on..
Race 3.
Spur Me On looks good again..but if the price is right i might keep him safe and go Bunsen Honeydew to grab him on the line..
it all depends on the market here...Spur me on might be odds on but hes the likely leader and from the good barrier looks hard to beat.
Race 4.
Hard race this one..i like the Toppy here ..has done enough and been consistent enough to win this ,,hard to match up Nth qld form with City form but theres nothing much in this race......though Denise's Diamonds fought on well last start and will be improved ....not confident this race,,
Race 5.
Tycoon Rose here looks like she might cross and lead...has been super consistent and might be able to dictate here..has been good to me the old girl the little bit of rain around helps.,, the barrier is a worry so she should be nice e/w odds....i've been on Fastness lately and he's the danger ..only thing is theres not much speed here and he gets back,, keep him safe though...lambretta at odds to place..
Race 6.
Speed on here....Shysu wont get it easy...i like Diurnal to track into the race nicely and get him on the line...fairly confident ..good first up and has ability..
thought Panzer the big danger wasnt a fluke beating Mastermind and Sir Mukafest to run a big race also..
Race 7.
Confident with Telldawn here...hard for me to seperate Step Ahead and Telldawn so i'll probably be on both...telldawn was jumping out of the ground last start ...distance suits where with Step ahead its alittle query..
Race 8.
Thought Defecting Playboy from the inside will be hard to run down...i like Maxy legs aswell with good odds i might go for both..hopefully they come for the top 2 and i get the right price...
Defecting's last few runs have been solid...likes the track ..and top jockey as well in form...Maxy legs should of beaten the Princess last start just needs luck from the barrier.

I like few here in Brissie ...hope the good run continues

good luck all..

Sydney
*Meterorite...like the drop back to 2000m ..they'll be a nice tempo here..i think he can do it...good jockey and i hope he's ready for him..big test for the big fella ..but i'm sticking with him ..
*Evalina,,,god run last start..good barrier should get the nice sit and hopefully wont be as far back as usual...She's in demand the danger..
*Solomons Seal...good barrier for the big fella..finishes his races off well and this time will be in striking distance......
*Desert ransom...take wild Queen out here and its fairly open..Desert ransom's last 2 runs have been excellent..racing against better horses than most of these...will give him one more chance e/w
*Blue Patriarch...fantastic last 2 runs...i know he's up in class but this isnt strong and they way he finished off last start was impressive..Appalachian was good last start and will set up the tempo that will suit the backmarkers.
will just need alittle luck in the straight....confident at huge odds..

(also like Solmere,Mosso,Dance Hero,Collate but they'll be be no value)

Melbourne
*Bomber Bill..wants atleast a good dead track,,,
*General Dynasty..gets all the ticks..jock,barier track,distance,firstup,
Adelaide
*Pipkin ..good thing here but might be to short..
*Sparkling Now...another good thing ..track needs to be good
*Pushing Daisies..same as above
*Next now...has been super ...should sit outside Pluvius and be to good..
Gold Coast
*Never wrong,Agrios,Audited
Toowoomba
*Carlino
Belmont
*Seymur Mist,Maximus Munius,Daka's Gem
Wangaratta
*Fords Creek, MoinCoin Harry,Devils Duchess.

As you can see heaps of selections..i like to keep it to about 12 so i'll have to kull a few..but scratchings, price and barriers usually do that for me anyway..
I think the weather in Adelaide is bad so that takes care of most of my selections there anyway..

Hey Mav, back for another week....

Race 1 - Dont know whether Umaprince will be running, with no jockey listed in my form guide...which confuses matters. Having said that i just think Amused is too good for them. Good win last time in very smart time. Geeteehaycho is an improver coming through the grades and could measure up here. Kanes Crossing a good place chance if Umaprince isn't running - those 2 are the only natural leaders.

Race 2 - On paper, Emit Time looks too good. Will be far too short for me, and i've just got a niggling doubt about how forward he'll be considering he's going down south later on. For that reason, i'll be looking at Blarney Wish and maybe the first starter, Sammys Illusion, as E/W hopes. Too many chances here for me to be confident though...

Race 3 - The top 2 should produce the winner. Spur Me On was brilliant last time around Doomben and if he repeats that he'll nearly win. Can carry weight and run time, so the 58.5 holds no fears. The only concern is if there are other horses trying to cut at him. Past Tense, Scottish Reaver and Canadian Shuffle can all go forward when they want to and if they pressure Spur Me On, Black Ink will be the one closing late. No flash odds about either, but i think they're a bit better than the rest.

Race 4 - Eep. No idea. Formlines everywhere, a true raffle. If i was forced to pick a couple, maybe Personal Look and Baci...both have form that reads OK for a race like this - theyve drawn well too. NEXT!

Race 5 - I can't see any noted speed here, but my latest attempts at speed prediction have fallen flat.....which means that they'll probably go helter skelter Tackman seems to be nearing a win, has been running consistently well of late. Just a little concern on whether he's a winner or not. Navajo Code was a nice run last time and will improve on that here. Lymadicus showed improvement last time and might be a place chance at odds.

Race 6 - Bit of pace here, which will suit Sir Mukafast. Should get a nice run midfield behind a good speed and K.Pope is riding in good form. Nothing wrong with Shysu's win last time, Eagle Farm is a different story though, and Road To Heaven won't give Shysu any rest either. The old bloke Devil is there too...

Race 7 - Step Ahead has to be close to a win. Has been finishing off his races really well lately....as he did last prep before the win over 1600m at this track. Given the way he is racing now, the 1800 should hold no fears with some speed on. Devastating is the classy runner, match fitness is the concern though (along with the win rate). Republic generally prefers it wet, but might improve tomorrow with the extra journey.

Race 8 - Wow. Tough one to finish on. Cupboard has a great record. Has run some hot times for a young horse over 1200m, the 1000m is an unknown though. The good draw will help and does excel fresh. Our Bullion at big odds isn't hopeless. He has form around horses like Neng Rain and Persuades which isn't bad for this sort of event. Brebeaudan Lad has run some nice races in and around the place aswell. Plenty of speed here, and as always with these big fields, barriers will play a major role..

Best tomorrow is Spur Me On with a good rough chance to Our Bullion.

Good luck with your bets tomorrow...

Sven

Just going through the trials up in eagle farm and i don't think Emit Time is the good thing it's cracked up to be. Sammy's Illusion has been trialling more then impressively at this track recently, in wonderful time and really looked keen to go faster. He gets a massive 6kg on Emit, and with his wayward antics i think Sammy's a great chance, will take him the con as i am scared of the toppy.

I like Unbound aswell in the first, bolted in last time against very similar opposition, don't know about the price but if they risk him i'll be on.

Race 1: Amused all the way here the fact that Byrne is aboard again here I think sees this winning again would be surprised to see any great odds though.

Race 2: Don't like this race Emit Time should be good enough to win this but who knows he has been scratched atleast once that I know of so maybe they are having problems with the horse.

Race 3: The top 3 are obvious they all have class and with the claim for McKeon Bunsen Honeydew gets in very well at the weights. Thought Specially Made might be able to run a bit of a race at odds got a mile back last start and although it didn't finish off storngly from where he was at the speed they went he was never going to catch them.

Race 4: No Bet

Race 5: I have been on Navajo Code his last couple and will probably go again if the odds allow certainly wouldn't take anything short under 5-1 won't touch it.

Race 6: Mindreader is the one I like here was a good run 1st up from a long break expect improvement here today and I think it will be winning. Danger would be Sir Mukafast.

Race 7: Teldawn for mine here will be hitting the line hard and the win over 2000 a couple back shows she can stay a little Step Ahead has driven me nuts it doesn't want to win a race at the moment have followed this horse for along well before it came to brisbane it is costing me. Argyle Gem will run a race in this nice run last week and good barrier might see this settling a little closer today.

Race 8: Not a big fan of the race thought Stepping might be an e/w chance not overly interested in the race really though.

Sydney: Florilegium showed up here she has a bit of class and with Langridge on board for the claim I think it can be winning this race.

Johnny is another I like might be the best maiden in the country the step up in distance will help whether it is quite far enough I don't know.

I honestly think Carry on Cutie will win even more so with the weight differential she is a good horse with the most scope to improve of the upcoming 3yo fillies IMO.

Blue Patriarch absolutely flew home last start at Kembla it blew them away if he can run on anywhere near that then he could be right upto this race Appalachian is the obvious danger looks a very nice horse.

With the wet weather coming to Brisbane, Spur Me On looks like a bit of a risk...doesn't go well when the track is a bit soft...

I agree Sven .. ,,brings blank Ink into it aswell...not an easy day in brissie ...
with the scratchings Cupboard looks well placed in the last...

i think in the 5th ..theres alot of talk about Tackman ..lambretta at better odds with any sort of luck should of beaten him when they met last time ..and gets alittle pull in the weights...i might have a dip e/w with the odds likely to be around the 20,s...still think Tycoon can win this though..

Mr Ed ..i wouldnt be taking Emit on...trials are trials ..nothing beats experience for mind...i'm not an odds man so i'll be having alitle fun with exactas and stuff..and saving my cash for later....still like Diurnal and telldawn ...hopefully at double figure odds..
agree Unbound was impressive ..i'd risk Amused dream run last time flatters.....blue oyster and unbound down the outside fighting it out..

If the tracks isnt to boggy down in Adelaide..i might still have a go at Sparkling now,,i think shes better on top but her last run in the slow was encouraging ..lady of the desert is scary though..

Mav Amused won well last start and he may of gotten a good run but it was its run a couple of starts back behind Hard to Catch is the one that got me it came from nowhere to be beaten by about a length. if it can reproduce it's runs other than the one where it went to the lead for some ridiculos reason the I think it wins this race.
