Default Underwood/Dubai Double

HI eveyone

I'm new to this forum. I'm having a couple of double bets on the weekend on the underwood/dubai. I'm from Perth so I'm biased towards Plastered. I was thinking

Plastered/Snitzel $70
Plastered/Regal Roller $56

I read someone mentioned Grey Song as it a wet track.. that sure throws in some value

Grey Song/Snitzel $260
Grey Song/Regal Roller $210
I'm probably way off the mark, I was wondering if anyone had some advice for this double bet?

Cheers

Russ

First up welcome to the site. If anyone can pick the double they are doing extremely well. I usually have a few play bets for doubles etc in big races but dont often get them. The beauty about them is you dont have to put your house on them to get a nice return. The horses you mentioned are certainly in with a shot..
Good luck with them.

I have taken out 2 options myself they are Confectioner/ Calveen $41 and Confectioner/ Valedictum $56 not sure but I thought they looked pretty solid bets also took a nice hit at the $9 for Calveen thought she would be a shortener by race day if not I will most likely have another go then.

I'm also new to this board.

I seriously think Grey Song is a big chance. He is undefeated on the heavy going and has finally drawn decent barrier, meaning he can just lope out of the barrier and go to sleep.

I've doubled him with Barely a Moment who I doubled last time when beaten by the Diva (Cost me just over $1000. damn you MD!). Handles the wet track and the form behind Makybe Diva should be pretty good don't you think .

I've got the Plastered/Makybe Diva double in the Caulfield/Melbourne Cup but I won't be backing Plastered tomorrow, but in the future is a different story....

Hi,

I'm new to the forum as well. I'm more into trifectas than doubles, but at this moment in time this is what I fancy:

Underwood

Confectioner
Perlin
Our smoking Joe

(I also rate She's Just a Tad if it handles the track conditions)

Dubai Racing Club Cup

Regal Roller
Final Express
Wildly

Welcome newbies,

I like your style sisterfifi, particularly your selections for the Underwood stakes. You know what they say about great minds....

Im goin to be putting on Our Smoking Joe and Final Express at $85
Our smoking joe loves it wet and is racing in great form.
Final Express is another that loves it wet, unbeaten over the distance and carrying absolutely no weight.

Good luck guys!!

Underwood
I remember Perlin at Flemington in the mud just cruise to a win...looks good to me.
thought Our Smoking Joe and Stelle grande chances..

Dubai
Roman Arch at the odds...tough old boy that will be up the front somewhere and might stick on in the slog down the straight...OER the danger..

Shame about the Slosh ..but it'll still be a good days racing

Question

rhinks,
Welcome, best forum methinks in the country, take note of these boys, they're good.
I believe Plastered is going Cox Plate,Caufield & Melbourne cups, big ask to be winning the Underwood as well.
Good luck to you- only my opinion.
Cheers
