Default Aus Vs WI 2nd test - Better than bank interest !!

Global sportsbet has

Aus 1.24
WI 13.00
draw 5.85

Aussies look like the "banktellers special "

Hardly worth watching at moment , which is a shame

shame im broke...so is this one of those all in banker bets...i usually do it on Rugby union which is fairly safe to do so..lets see England to bt italy! or NZ to bt USA... Id put my whole entire life on it.. Or Even Wales to bt Japan

24% return sounds nice..although a draw scares me

There are a few things I do consider "locks"

This is mainly in a team sport like rugby where one country can be unbelievably dominating over another. A great example is NZ vs USA. USA will NEVER win (not unless they develop a pro league). There's just so much skill involved in the game, and a few injuries to key kiwis still wouldn't be enough for USA to have a shot.

Windies vs aus, well it's not a lock, but looks fine at 1.24.

Totally agree.

I don't usually agree there are "locks". Eg someone will say the tigers over the bunnies or something. But even in the NRL any dog can win on it's day. You want to look for highly professional teams vs amateur teams. Rugby is a GREAT sport for this. It's whether the bookies will offer enough of a price to make it worth betting (if it's 1.01 what's the point??). You would need to get a large chunk of your BR down to make the growth worthwhile, but then you run into betting limits.

Again, most pro leagues are bad to do this (nrl, afl, nfl etc), but sports where professional teams play amateur teams are great (rugby).

But Mr J, the odds on that would be about $1.01.

Actually, in my humble opinion, I reckon the odds are about right. The Aussie middle order is shaky at best, Magilla can be tonked as can the B&W minstral and you just never know when Lara will come good and rack up a double century. Put a dollar on the windies rather than $54 on the Aussies.

You mean like just about any team of any quality vs the Wallabies.

I know its early but after the first session of play you would have to think that taking the 1.24 on offer was a good bet.

Austrlaia currently has the West Indies at 2/49 after 26 overs. Thats a run rate of only 1.88 On top of this Gayle is retired hurt with a heart problem. I am guessing he might be out of the match depending on how serious it is.

Good luck with your bet if you took the Aussies.

I definately agree. It is a shame but Australia could be the same in 15 years....

I didn't put a million on it but I did put on some ... Should win a nice amount unless it rains.

I hope it finishes in a couple of days. Australia should have this easily.

Well the rain came as expected and the players are just sitting around having lunch.

The satellite image looks like it could rain all day but hopefully we will get some time to play. Regarldess of the rain, the West Inidies should lose unless the rest of the test match gets rained out.

Good luck.
