Eroyd

Flat record holder who gets conditions in his favour this time. Had some heavy rain last night (it woke me up - which is a big effort!) which is perfect for him - with more on the way - having said that really he doesn't want it Heavy.

This is his distance 13 of his 18 wins have come over the 1200m.

Has been racing below par in his past few. Especially two starts back when beaten 20.5 lenghts on this track in slow conditions.... last run and run 3 stars ago was well of the pace as well (5-6 lengths)

Does get the claim from Guthrie which puts him in at 1 kg over the minimum which he will appreciate
Having said all that it is hard to make a case for him winning - certainly rates in the top few, but he's just not racing well enough at the moment and IMHO I really think they are just hoping he eeks out one more before he gets to rest in the paddock - sucking down molases milk shakes......

For me:
  1. Poet's Voice (Callow Factor)
  2. Stratton Place
  3. Paris Zero
  4. Gibernau
  5. Beach Box
  6. Dandy Kid
Don't know it this helps...... but good luck -

I'd like to see him win !

I'm with you Stix, Poets Voice has by far the best lead up form for this race, gets a big class and weight drop, has the good alley and top jock on, looks extremely hard to beat. Don't be surprised if one down the bottom runs a huge race at odds in Mazunda, he never runs a bad race and if he gets a nice sit with the hectic pace likely he can fly home. As for Dandy, he's always a chance here, his last few runs have just been getting him fit and keeping him down in weight, i'm sure he'll give a bold sight tomorrow.

i will be lucky to still be working at 60 the hard yards i am putting in these days, surely they will take there toll.

With regard to Dandy Kid- I have indeed been in contact with a connection and he says that no matter what there is only one objective for the horse, Own the moonee valley record on his own. Apparently they are going to start to get desperate if they have to but they want the record so badly its not funny.

Wether this means the horse can win tomorrow i don't know-but the trainer is under strict instructions to prepare the horse for another Moonee Valley win.

Personally i am a Poet's Voice man.
