Have been looking for an Oz horse racing forum, and am so glad i found this place. I am currently living overseas, and have just started betting on Aussie racing recently after basically missing all of the last 12 months. But decided to resume, for the new racing season. Have some severe handicaps to overcome, mainly not really being able to see any of the races, but this is does enable me to study the form closely, and hopefully come up with some unbiased and unemotional selections. My betting is a mixture of Win bets, win and place, and lower staked exotics, Quinella, Trifectas, Running Doubles, and the odd Quaddie. Hope i can share a winner or 2.

Lets' start with today at Wangaratta. Nota an inspiring meeting, particualrly with the wet track, but have found one selection which will hopefully do the trick.

Wangaratta Race 4 #2-Tsingtao

The 3 last start winners look likely to fight this race out, i generally don't like betting on a big debut winner, as the odds are heavily in favor of the horse not being able to back up and repeat or improve on his performance. However this horse does seem to have a bit going for it. It's debut win was some 3 weeks ago, so you could almost say it has had a freshen up, and being by the Sire Jugah, it is sure to really revel in the Heavy going.

The only other race i may have found something on today is in Race 8 #9-Sambur Prince, not confident enough to back this horse straight up, but as the likely leader in the race, and at a likely decent price, coming off a bad run last start, this horse may be able to keep his recent pattern of one win every second start going. One for Exotics IMO.
